"I booked Sticky Jack for our Hampshire hotel minibreak for 76 people. Gareth made booking simple, providing all the info requested in a fast efficient manner. The lads arrived punctually, setting up without disturbing our pre dinner drinks or meal. They tailored their music to exactly suit the age group. Every number was played & sung with solid sound & vocals, exactly like the original version. In a very short space of time they had everyone on the dance floor. By popular request, they played beyond the agreed time with a much applauded oncore. A great evening, enjoyed by all."

"Well! Where do I start? Whisky & Ginger were just incredible. I cannot thank them enough. Every single song was exactly what the crowd wanted, and they even played some of our requests (sorry there were quite a few!). People are still talking about how good they were a week after our party. We would recommend anybody who is in two minds about booking to do so. Worth every penny. We’ll defo be booking again! Thank you thank you thank you!"

"A great time was had by all. Elvis did everything I asked of him n he put his whole self into it. He was brilliant. Couldn't have asked for more. I found myself singing with him, wondering what he thought of that?. Would recommend him. "

"They were great, they played background type music at the beginning of the party as guests mingled and ramped it up when it was time to dance. Absolutely worth every penny, very professional and they made the party special."

"We couldn't have been more pleased that we picked The Romantics as our wedding band. Aside from being really talented musicians and incredibly professional in the lead up to the wedding, they were absolutely phenomenal on the day and really got everyone involved. The fact that they moved around was also amazing, as it worked well for a summer's evening when people wanted to be outdoors, as they also got to dance and sing along outside without missing out. I couldn't recommend them enough to anyone looking for a band for an event and so many of our guests are still saying what a great choice they were. We absolutely loved you guys! "

"The Rampart Street Ramblers were excellent. Easy to deal with and flexible with plans, within the parameters of the booking. They had their own good suggestions (for example playing before dinner in the garden unamplified and then amplified in the marquee afterwards which worked very well.) They performed very professionally and their style was much appreciated by host and guests alike."

"From start to finish the service provided by Stargazers and their manager was perfect. Regularly in touch via email and all questions answered within 48 hours. The performance was everything we wanted and more. Friendly and involved all members of the party in most performances. I put a lot of trust in the band for music choice and was not let down. Would and will recommend to anyone who is looking for a wedding band going forward. "

"The Honky Tonk Hardies were perfect entertainment at our wedding. The band had great charisma and were true proffesionals!.. people couldn't believe we found them through the Internet! As soon as the band started playing the dance floor was never empty! Toe tapping great rock and roll tunes that everyone enjoyed! We would love to see The Honky Tonk Hardies perform again as they were that enjoyable... their set seemed to be over far too quickly! Great atmosphere makers, a must hire for any couple looking for entertainment at their wedding!"

"We just wanted to say a huge thank you for being a part of our wedding day and helping to make is so perfect. So many people were saying you were the best band they’d every heard at a wedding - even the venue themselves had rave reviews, both about your sets and you as people. The music all night was fab and the filled dance floor just shows what an amazing time people were having. We also massively appreciated you taking the time to learn our first dance especially for us - it was beautiful. We will recommend your work far & wide! Thanks, Amy & Jonathan xxx"

"REVIEW OF OUR LATEST CD ALBUM IN JAZZ JOURNAL Kit Packham’s One Jump Ahead: Everybody Loves A Boogie The entertaining British jump-jive revival band ploughs the familiar furrow, offering cheeky covers and originals with occasional solos By Hugh Rainey -13 October 2023437 Formed in 1984, this UK group plays jump-jive in a bright and breezy, entertaining style, blended with R&B and vintage rock and roll, and seasoned with light-hearted humour. Leader Kit Packham sings confidently in appropriate style on every track bar one, and contributes alto and tenor to the backing throughout. Packham also composed and wrote the lyrics for eight of the tracks and alternative lyrics for some cheeky adaptations of standards – My Swingin’ Valentine (an upbeat treatment of My Funny Valentine, which surprisingly works quite well) and the very funny Basingstoke (to the melody of Baby Face) and Buy A CD (with appropriate uninhibited bathos to My Way). On the whole, the originals work well for the genre. Love Me, Love My Saxophone and I Dig Potatoes have amusing lyrics somewhat reminiscent of Louis Jordan and Slim Gaillard in style. Enjoyable versions of Don’t Get Around Much Any More, Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby and My Swingin’ Valentine, come closest to straightforward jazz treatment with some worthwhile brief solos and touches of arrangement. The tracks come from sessions in 2009, 2017 and 2023, mainly as six or seven piece lineups it seems, but with changing personnels. Though studio recorded, the CD comes across as cheery live entertainment – for dancers, rather than perhaps for close, serious listening. But it’s certainly good fun, with some inventive fresh material, and a sense of humour to give a welcome lift to your spirits in these troubled times. Discography Everybody Loves A Boogie; Don’t Clap On The First Beat Of The Bar; Old Rock “n” Roll Songs Never Die; Don’t Get Around Much Any More; Love Me, Love My Saxophone; Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby; Route 66; Alley Club Blues; As Time Goes By; Alright, OK, You Win; Lockdown Chase; My Swingin’ Valentine; I Dig Potatoes; Basingstoke; Buy A CD; We Had A Real Good Time/We’ll Meet Again (53.52) Collectively: Kit Packham (v, ts, as, bar, cl); Nick Tomalin, Perry White (p); John O’Reilly (g); Steve Knight (g, ts, bj); Alex Keen, Ollie Blanchflower (b); Derek Gayle, Kenrick Rowe (d); Simon Da Silva (t); Tracey Mendham (ts, cl).
