Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"Last month Shrewsbury and Atcham District Arts Association were delighted to host the premiere of Patrick Larley"s work for string quartet, Iona Sound led by Anne Tupling with Sounds Interesting String Quartet. A contemporary work, it was made accessible by fine and precise playing. In addition Sounds Interesting gave a memorable rendition of a medley of Scottish airs composed specially for the occasion. "I cannot recommend Girl Got Soul highly enough. We weren't sure if having a wedding band would be a sensible use of our budget, but we're so glad we hired Girl Got Soul. They went down a storm. The singing is beautiful, they got our guests dancing, and they were great fun to watch. We had one set of Jazz (All That Jazz) and one party set, and both were great. Communication was excellent, the band worked with me on the setlist and were very nice in reassuring me that my requests weren't bridezilla-ish. :)"

"Just to say a huge thank you so much!!! The music was absolutely spot on, so many bangers and H&R nailed the vibE, we had an absolute blast on the dance floor and everyone said how brilliant the music was. Huw also kindly stayed later (everyone was loving it and dancing) which we really, really appreciated. We weren't sure about a first dance and Huw read the room so well. Just 10/10 all round!"

"The beautiful music from Oysland created a palpable sense of excitement and joy among the guests that set the tone for the entire day. It was amazing walking down the aisle to Lori's lovely voice, and we could tell that all of the band had put so much effort into making sure everything was perfect. Everyone said that the music was on a different level, even the registrar, who must have heard a lot of wedding music. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts - and we will recommend you to anyone who is having a simcha!"

"We had The Leathernecks to play our wedding on 25/7/2017. Our wedding was at The Yacht Club in Cala D'Or, Mallorca. The boys were so helpful in organising to make this happen, getting in touch with the equipment hire companies themselves and sorting everything. They are an absolutely brilliant band, they played a mix of indie music which sounded great in our venue. All our guests commented on how amazing they were, how professional, friendly and extremely talented. We love this band and always go and see them locally. They always put on a fantastic performance and we will continue to go to as many of their gigs as we can! We already have them booked for a big birthday coming up. Would highly recommend this great band. Thanks for making our wedding even more amazing!!! Matt and Mel. "

"I've wanted to try live music in our little Country pub for the longest time and Lucy and Jack were so great I'll definitely be having them back again and again. Engaging, entertaining, and had people up dancing all night. Can't recommend enough!"
