Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"Mia and her Miacats played at our Silver Wedding Anniversary. They played as an acoustic duo as people arrived, nice and calm and in the background, but cranked it up with a great variety for two sets with the full band, and got everyone dancing. Many of our guests complimented us on our choice of band and the performance of the band, which was really great to hear. We would have no hesitation at all in hiring the Miacats again or recommending them to others."

"Trinity Hall June Event 2015 is the highest capacitated event held by any college across the city of Cambridge. This year, we held host to the likes of Annie Mac, The Correspondents and our personal favourites The Fab 5. Hosting a theme of 'Marmalade Skies' and portraying all things sixties, this band was a perfect end to the night. The main stage was busy all night, but only became absolutely full at 2-3am when The Fab 5 performed to over one thousand people. Since the event finished I've heard from many people that The Fab 5 were the musical highlight of their nights. For a six hour event taking a year's planning, that's quite a feat, and I'm personally glad The Fab 5 were there to make my night too. Not only did they perform well, but they were organised all year in helping set up for the event, arrived ten hours before their set on the day to sound check and then continued to smash their set. Well done guys, and on behalf of our committee and one thousand attendees, thanks for playing."

"Deep Down Brass were absolutely incredible at our wedding. They were the highlight of the day and all our guests wouldn’t stop raving about them. Ben was super helpful the whole way through the planning. And the band were great at accommodating our song and entrance request. They sounded fantastic and the dance floor was filled all night long. I would highly recommend choosing them for your wedding or event!"

"Black Birdcage Entertainment booked The Jazz Revival for one of our Christmas events in 2018, they carried out a fabulous job and our guests really enjoyed their performance. We will definitely book them again for future events."

"The BHV (group of 4 musicians) played at a 50th birthday party held outside on a pub terrace. They were excellent and pitched the songs perfectly for the location and ambience of the event. There was great communication beforehand, and on the night they took care of everything, knowing we would be busy with guests - they both set up with no fuss and packed up quickly and unobtrusively at the end of the evening. Guests commented on how good they were, including one friend who is a saxophonist himself and plays in a band! I would definitely recommend them."

"Fraser and the Cheers played at our summer camping festival for about 300 people. They were absolutely excellent - within moments of starting up, the whole place was dancing! These guys are great - fantastic vibe, great level of musicianship. I'd book them again tomorrow!"

"Dear Anne, We had a truly fabulous day & i think everyone enjoyed it. We thoroughly enjoyed the string quartet & lots of people commented on how good it was. overall we were thrilled with everything . Hope the quartet  were all fed & watered appropriately , as it was an informal day Bernie & I may of forgotten a few things & got carried away with all the excitement !! "I can only reiterate what other reviews have said. John and Adam were fantastic. From initial contact, discussing our requirements, helpful advice and general correspondence; to arriving punctually on the night, and being so friendly and helpful with my ‘techno-phobe’ self when it came to setting up a laptop and projector for a wedding film presentation; to actually performing – offering such an eclectic mix of music, ensuring the dance floor was full, and interacting with the wedding guests. I was so impressed with their professionalism, yet lovely friendly personas. As a band their performance was faultless, and certainly added that something extra to an already special occasion. Well done lads… can’t rate you highly enough! "
