"We hired John and his band as a quintet for our wedding and what a wonderful choice. The guys travelled to the New Forest for us for our big day. Superb sound and multi talented. They provided a substantive song list to choose from plus a couple of extra requests. They had everyone up and rocking. Wonderful Irish sound and a memorable singalong to ‘Dirty Old Town’ to more modern music. On top of that lovely guys with a warm personality who really looked like they enjoyed performing. Recommended for any event. Many thanks for helping our day memorable. Paul and Jo"

"Midnight Rumour are honestly the best live band out there! Having recently played out wedding we couldn't be happier. "We had the honour of having the duo perform at our wedding recently. From the outset, our time working with them was a pleasure. They customised their set in line with what we desired for a truly bespoke experience. They were also keen to collaborate with one of our friends with singing which they didn’t have to do but embraced the process fully. The sound of Steve’s piano creates a warm blanket of sound in the room, complemented by the sweet and soothing notes from the violin. They are both truly gifted and professional in their musical domains and we were lucky to have them blow us away on our wedding day. There was excellent feedback from our guests too where they were moved by the duo’s music. Furthermore, they were kind and affable and were integral to our day. We thank you. "

"What can I say? If you are a fan of Irish music, instrumental or with vocals then Dermot and the rest of the amazing musicians are who you need to hire! They were an absolute joy and a pleasure to have play at my beloved father's wake. They are such lovely and friendly people as well as fantastic musicians with a vast array of instrumentation between them. They graciously accepted requests prior to the event and also from some of the guests. My dad would have absolutely loved it and it made a very sad day very joyful and comforting for everyone. Our guests commented on how wonderful they were and the pub staff as well. I highly recommend hiring Dermot and the gang for any event, not just a wake. Communication was excellent before hand and hiring Dermot and the band were the easiest part of the many arrangements that we had to make when organising our dad's funeral and a wake. We sincerely thank you and highly recommend you, The O'Brien family."

"Our wedding took place at the Merchant Taylors' Hall, central London, in December 2012. We knew that we wanted a band for the evening reception, and some music for our wedding ceremony, but didn't really know where to look for inspiration. The Blue Suede Shoes looked like our kind of band, and their website was really helpful and informative, so we made our booking a couple of months in advance after contacting Ben by email. There is so much planning involved in arranging a wedding. As the groom, I wanted to know that the band would be there in good time, and be organised and professional on the day. We were in very safe hands with The Blue Suede Shoes - they were absolutely brilliant and very considerate to our requests. Their rendition of the song for our first dance was perfect, and all of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the band's sets. I'd have no hesitation in recommending the band to anyone for their own events. They were superb musicians, excellent value and great people too. We really did have a perfect day, and we are very grateful to The Blue Suede Shoes for helping to make it so special. "
