"We are so grateful to Black Velvet Ceilidh Band for their last minute flexibility in playing for our wedding! We moved the wedding forward by a month to beat the lockdown and the band not only made themselves available on the new date, but also changed the style of music with just 3 days notice! Firstly their contactability and organisation was brilliant, making the booking and discussions with them hassle-free. Ceilidh would no longer have been appropriate, so the guys played a mix of Irish songs and jigs and reels. The music they provided was fantastic, creating the most beautiful atmosphere for the milling around and photo time between ceremony and reception. They were inconspicuous but added so much. Would definitely recommend them (and their versatility!) for any event.’"

"I booked Black Velvet Band Irish Duo for my Mum’s 80th. It was a small family gathering in the back garden. The band were fantastic and even my mum was up dancing. It was a rare and happy sight!"

"Thank you knoxville highway for making my 50th birthday party such a great night. You had all my guests on the dance floor from start to finish. The whole evening was based on a country and western. Your music set was perfect all the classics were played. All the guest have messaged me to say having a live band perform made the evening so authentic. "Just realized that with all the end of term chaos I hadn't said thank you for getting our picnic up and dancing!! Thanks also for saving the day by arriving early at short notice when Britain's summer threw the best at us (and then some!!) and for being so flexible when things were so up in the air on arrival...definitely all the right decisions were made and everyone had a ball. We've had loads of great comments and I hope you were pleased with how many people joined in at such an early hour."

"The perfect blend of elegance and energy, with a charm that suited the setting beautifully. Southern Charm went above and beyond what we imagined. From their acoustic set during the afternoon to the full party later on, it felt like the music was designed for the space—the rolling countryside as their stage. They paced the evening seamlessly without us ever needing to intervene. Their timing, energy, and ability to read the room felt so natural, letting us simply enjoy every moment. And those vocals—absolutely breathtaking. Guests kept asking where on earth we’d discovered them. What stood out most was the warmth and authenticity they brought; nothing about it felt staged.
