"I would like to thank you and Alan and Rupert very much indeed for playing so beautifully at my birthday party. I know that I enjoyed your music enormously and so many guests commented on your very professional playing and the entertaining style of your music and felt it was just right for the evening. With all good wishes for future successes and renewed thanks for everything, including juggling the time table slightly to accommodate late dinner arrivals and sausage and bacon sandwich distribution! This was very much appreciated. as"

"Bessie’s life in blues brought back to life. Some performers deserve to be known by more than their work. Bessie Smith won fame as Empress of the Blues in the 1020’s, but there was more to her life than money and fame. She died in 1937, but 80 years on a good sized crowd were held rapt at the Thunderbolt as Dave Merrick narrated her life story, from a ragged upbringing in the American South, with the help of original recordings. Bessie shot to fame because her unique vocal style could cut through the limitations of 1920s recording technology. But it was the live performances the Totterdown audience were waiting for, and Natalie Davis on vocals, with Dave on guitar and Brenan Whitmore on saxophone did not disappoint. Renditions of I Need A Little Sugar in my Bowl, and ‘Taint Nobodies Business If I Do made the magic of Bessie shine, from the slow paced blues of the 1920s to the syncopated swing of the 1930. . the show had the audience rapt. - Paul Breeden, South Bristol Voice (May 01, 2017)"

"Larry and the Hot Crossed Buns are quite literally my favourite band I've ever seen perform, and that's a statement! I've seen acts from probably every music genre and nothing hits like they do! Not only is the music fantastic but the performance and entertainment is top tier! You can't help but jig along to everything they play and their crowd engagement is awesome. Each member of the band are also really lovely to chat to if you manage to catch them after a gig! My only gripe is that they're not close enough to me to see them perform enough, although I did grab a band tee and often rep them on the school runs. Honestly though, if you're around and these guys are playing - go and see them, you can thank me later xo (even if you're not close by, they're genuinely worth travelling for). Lovely band and boys!"

"The South west swing collective played on our Wedding day and they were absolutely fantastic! They picked great music, perfectly mirroring what we’d asked for, and intuitively picked up on the vibe they got off of our guests. Everybody loved them and it gave the night a real energy. They engaged the crowd and helped create a party we will never forget! We would highly recommend them to anyone who wants live entertainment for any event. An overwhelmingly positive experience from start to finish."

"I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say how fantastic the band were at our wedding at Christmas. They 'read the room' perfectly, and delivered an excellent performance that created a great atmosphere and got the room dancing! Their unique style of delivering well known songs with a gypsy / folk twist was really well received as they didn't try to replicate the song exactly- making them less of a cover band which was just what we wanted. They were also super easy to work with and really relaxed on the day. The fact they also learnt a new song for our first dance was really special! I would not hesitate to recommend them! "

"Chris and Jake traveled down to my hometown in Bradford on Avon to play at our wedding over Easter. We had spotted them at the Manchester Gin Festival last year and when we got engaged shortly afterwards knew we had to try and find them. They played a great set, the guests really enjoyed their music and our in laws are fancying them for their 60ths next year! We can't thank them enough for travelling all that way and making our day perfect! Thank you again!"
