Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"Firstly I know when booking Band etc. you do a lot of research and like every one I read other reviews on the band before I booked. and as they were all glowing reports was a bit unsure. (that's just me being paranoid) well I am glad to report back that they are Brilliant. as with other reviews whilst talking with our guests at our triple Birthday Party (16th 21st &50th) all age groups kept saying how fantastic the band were. Ed was so good at getting back to me every time I had a question. they played all the things I was asked to have played. they arrived and set up no problems all in all I can't praise them enough. wish we could do it every week. lastly Ed I hope my sister -in -Law didn't cause you too much trouble when she help with the tambourine playing. thank you so much for making it a great night x"

"Chris and Kim of The Sunset Duo brought some incredible music and energy to our pub’s community night! Playing music from across the decades and a little something for everyone, there wasn’t a single person in attendance who didn’t enjoy both sets. In fact, when they took a break, I had several people asking me when they were going to start playing again! There wasn’t much room for dancing, as the pub was very full, but it was clear from the bouncing heads and swaying bodies, that people felt compelled to. The duo effortlessly connected with their audience and kept the energy up throughout the evening. I’m looking forward to having them perform in the pub again soon, as I know they will deliver the same level of fun and professionalism to each performance. "Flexible and responsive to our requests, changing the set lists and structure of their performances to suit our needs on the night. They played a good mix of music, catering to the audience ensuring the dancefloor was filled. Good communication before event made it easy to arrange details, which were dealt with professionally."

"We booked House of Chords for our wedding reception. We were really impressed by how well they played; it was an amazing atmosphere and they chose exactly the right songs to get everyone in the room from children to grandparents dancing! The guys were also really flexible; they even chose our first dance for us when we still hadn’t come up with anything ten minutes before we were supposed to do it! The band really helped make our day special and I would happily recommend them to anyone."

"The Pocket Rockers were absolutely amazing at my 30th Birthday Party, played some great songs to get people dancing (and dancing in their chairs)! Very professional and almost everyone at the party said “WOW! The band are really good! Where did you find them?!” They really gave my party that something extra!"

"Having a band at our wedding was a given. I spent months agonizing over which one to choose, but when I saw Eccentric Pony's You Tube clips, I knew I had found something very special. I booked them about a year in advance without consulting anyone, because I was afraid my guests and I would miss out if I didn't act soon. We had a wedding that celebrated everything we loved: Star Wars, music and our love of 80s films. It was no surprise that our first dance was going to be to The Glory of Love from The Karate Kid 2, and because we had a band, we really wanted it to be performed live. It was not on Eccentric Pony's playlist, however. Jimmy promised us the band would learn it especially, and would perform it exactly as it is on the Peter Cetera track. And that is exactly what happened. My husband and I were thrilled. Eccentric Pony played everything we had identified on their playlist to such an incredible standard that by the end, even the most firmly rooted wall flowers were filling up the dance floor. They built up the energy through the night and the atmosphere was electric. Thank you so much, Eccentric Pony, you made our already exceptional wedding legendary."

"I would thoroughly recommend Lazy Marmalade to anyone having a party/wedding/celebration. Our usual band were already booked for the date that we needed and recommended them – we have not been disappointed. We booked them for a company party at Duxford Imperial War Museum and they were fantastic – had us up dancing all night with live music and DJing. It was a great mix of music that was enjoyed by all. They were very amenable, didn’t mind our Singing waiters using their equipment and liaised direct with the venue and our entertainers to make sure that the evening went smoothly. Thank you so my Alex & Jon for helping to make our party so special!"
