Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"I first saw LickSquid at a friends 30th and instantly knew I needed them at our wedding.....a month later. I contacted LickSquid on Facebook and Dan quickly replied. After giving Dan the date of the wedding they went away and looked at their schedules. Dan got back to me that day and said they could move some things about and would be happy to do it. As I already had a DJ I asked Licksquid if they would do one 45 minute set and an encore. Licksquid duly agreed and even asked me what song list I wanted. As I had seen Licksquid a week or so before I completely trusted them and told them to play what they wished. On the night Licksquid set up without me even knowing. The guys were so lovely and professional. They started their set and the music was amazing. The dance floor was packed and everyone loved them. I can honestly say the wedding would not have been the same without them. They brought a brilliant atmosphere and the whole process of booking, and communication with Licksquid was completely stress free. I would definitely book these guys again for future events. "Hired these guys for our Wedding instead of a DJ, what a good choice. They kept in touch before the event and offered us a list of songs that we could choose from. They were very responsive when we sent texts or emails with questions. They had the whole set up, lights, a great range of instruments and arrived early at the venue. Got the crowd going straight away, banging out some great tunes, everyone loved the music and had a great time, dancing the night away. Would HIGHLY recommend the band for any event, 10/10 - Thanks."

"We chose the band having seen them play at our friend's wedding. They are a fantastic band and play a wide variety of music which is ideal for weddings and ensured the dance floor was heaving all night! They even accommodated our first dance song for us despite the short notice (sorry!) - and nailed it! In short; a perfect band!"

"We hired Backstreet Noise for our wedding and I have to say it was the best choice I've ever made (with the exception of marrying my wife of course), they were fantastic to work with and they made sure our night was as magical as it could be, with a upbeat blend of punk rock and pop, they ticked all the boxes for us and got everyone up on their feet dancing. "Thank you so so much! That was simply incredible - it is hard to put into words just how special it was to hear live music of such calibrate, enthusiasm and skill. It was incredible to be a part of the songs, dancing along and - as an aside - simply amazing to have you as a familiar face. Really brought back the happiest of memories. We’ve been receiving messages in capital letters from friends saying ‘THE BAND WAS AMAZING’. We’re all quite a musical bunch and lots of us have all attended quite a few weddings now so that’s a huge compliment. Please thank the band for learning the Lianne le havas song. We had to keep double checking the band hadn’t been replaced by Lianne le havas herself - such a magical way to start the evening. Now just have to dream up some other excuse to hire you guys… a 33rd birthday party?!"

"We booked this fabulous string quartet for our wedding on August 11th. They are absolutely brilliant and very professional. Claire was always contactable and my request for “Waltz of the Flowers” to walk down the aisle to, was absolutely no problem for them to do. I highly recommend."

"Hope you enjoyed Friday night. Just wanted to say a massive thank you for playing for us, and for 'My Girl'. Can’t stop playing the video, it’s got a thousand views already! It’s always been “our song” ever since I first saw the band playing it after Gray joined. Our ears perk up every time we hear it on the radio. So we’re both absolutely thrilled with the video and will treasure it."

"With Groove Primitive you can tell that they are dedicated from the first bar, but they also are fun, with a sense of humour. The funk is tight and the rockier songs have soul. Shay’s vocals are strong and she’s backed by some great players. I’ve seen them in bars and clubs, but could imagine them on a journey to filling much bigger venues in the future. Highly Recommended 5 stars – for entertainment and musical virtuosity. "

"It was a little daunting booking a band based on a few small clips on a website, but we knew straight away they were the right band for us. The Rampart Street Ramblers were amazing value for money, and really made our wedding special. They learnt our first dance for us, and we couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. Everyone commented on how wonderful and unique the band was, and the whole booking process was quick and easy. I would rebook on this site, and rebook this band without a doubt!"
