"We asked the trio to play at a family celebration in the Museum of Zoology in Cambridge. Communication with the band before the event worked well, the volume at which the band played in what was probably an unusual acoustic venue was ideal and the music selection reflected well on our requests. We are very pleased to recommend this trio and would be happy to use them again if an opportunity arises."

"Prophets of Swing were absolutely wonderful. They delivered exactly what we were hoping for and provided a lively and upbeat atmosphere at our wedding breakfast. Such talented, accomplished musicians. My husband and I were extremely impressed and absolutely delighted with them. All of our guests were singing their praises. I found Sarah-Jane Morris, and her assistants, very helpful, attentive and thorough with the booking process. I would be more than happy to use Last Minute Musicians again, and have already recommended the website a number of times! Thanks to all. Elizabeth and Liam"

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Hatty’s Wedding – September 2025 Such a wonderful band, and would definitely have them again. Everyone enjoyed the dancing even if they were just watching. Even my husband who never dances joined in and is now a ceilidh addict. 10/10! Highly recommend!"

"We wanted to have a really different wedding, and Fann Street Hot Club was a perfect addition to our 1920s themed day! The music complemented our vintage style beautifully, and really tied everything together. We are also really grateful to the band for arranging our favourite song (Tainted Love) for us - you wouldn't believe how good it sounds in a gypsy swing style! "Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Simon’s Wedding – April 2025 Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio performed at our Wedding reception. The music was fantastic and Alan the caller talked our guests through the dances with patience and wit. Our guests included some serious Scottish dancing enthusiasts together with a lot of enthusiastic amateurs, complete beginners and no hopers – all of whom had an absolute blast! We would highly recommend the band and a couple of our guests made enquiries about booking them for upcoming events, which speaks for itself. "What a superb band for our wedding party - the guys were lovely, really friendly and helpful and got everyone involved and having the time of their lives! A ceilidh is such fun and a great way to ensure *all* your guests are involved in the celebrations - there were smiles on the faces of everyone dancing, and everyone watching!
