"Prophets of Swing were absolutely wonderful. They delivered exactly what we were hoping for and provided a lively and upbeat atmosphere at our wedding breakfast. Such talented, accomplished musicians. My husband and I were extremely impressed and absolutely delighted with them. All of our guests were singing their praises. I found Sarah-Jane Morris, and her assistants, very helpful, attentive and thorough with the booking process. I would be more than happy to use Last Minute Musicians again, and have already recommended the website a number of times! Thanks to all. Elizabeth and Liam"

"Cordes en Bleues played at my husband's birthday party. They were excellent from start to finish. They communicated really well prior to the event, were lovely to chat to, really easy going, and played a fantastic set. We would highly recommend them."

"Tzigauners played at our garden party and we could not have asked for a better band. They arrived on time, set up without a fuss and were really friendly throughout. If you like Jazz and in particular Gypsy Jazz, this band is perfect. Nice guys, will be in touch for next year's party."

"Black Velvet Band provided a five piece ceilidh band and caller for the finale of the Hawkins’ team building event. We thought the room would be too big – but we were wrong! The band brought an absolute gem of a caller, who read the crowd perfectly and the dance floor was full throughout the evening. We could have done with a larger space! The band was superb and the event was enjoyed by all concerned. I thoroughly recommend the band."

"The trio were amazing and helped us bring the atmosphere to our wedding that we hoped for! Our guests were also super pleased with them and told us to pass on the name of the band for possible future events! Could not have booked a better trio for sure. Well done guys. "Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / Claire’s 60th Birthday / May 2025 Black Velvet Trio were absolutely perfect for the barn dance we hosted. The trio were cool, calm and professional in their ability to literally herd cats! They were able to bring a huge smile to every face which was always my wish. The musicians were brilliant at just playing wonderful barn dance music whilst we laughed and bumped and crashed about with our two and sometimes three left feet. Our last (came too quick) dance was the Swiss Roll. We all loved it and would be so happy to have Black Velvet Trio back to do it all again."

""We booked Swing Gitan for our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with their performance. We found them online, then went to see them perform in Nottingham - we can honestly say their website does not do them justice; they are incredible musicians. We knew they would be perfect for our big day. Elliott was really friendly and easy to deal with, and we felt he understood exactly the tone we wanted to set - summer sun/cocktails/chilled vibe for our drinks reception and something more upbeat for later in the evening. "We have just had Gypsy Jazz/Swing Band play at our Sunday Social dance at the Hen and Chicken and they did a superb job! Good quality musicians providing an excellent range of swinging, high energy tunes. We had people who came just to listen but mainly it was a room full of dancers and they kept the floor full and buzzing. Their set was interesting, playful and spot on for what we wanted. We would definitely have them back! A note to organisers: Very easy comms. They turned up with plenty of time and were clean and efficient in set up and take down. What’s not to like?!"

"We were thrilled with the Tom Belbin Trio's performance as the evening band at our wedding reception. They were very friendly and helpful in the run up to the day, and their performance was just wonderful. Our guests certainly loved them, and we had many comments on the variety of songs The Tom Belbin Trio performed and the quality of the musicianship. We're only sorry our party tired earlier than expected and we couldn't provide them with the number of dancing feet they deserved towards the end of the evening!!"

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – International Student’s Ceilidh – July 2025 This is the second time we have booked the Black Velvet Band for our summer ceilidh, and it was such fun! The band ran two different dancing sessions for our international students and were very patient with explaining the dances and encouraging all students to participate. The music was brilliant and energetic, and all three band members were so kind and even paused for a photoshoot with the students. We are looking forward to next summer already. I’d absolutely recommend them for any event/party/celebration!"
