"The Black Velvet Band provided us with a fantastic ceilidh for our wedding reception. They really got everyone up and moving, so much better than a boring DJ set. They were even accommodating to our more inebriated guests and explained the dance moves clearly. We had a wonderful time and would consider them again for future parties."

" Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio performed at our Wedding reception. The music was fantastic and Alan the caller talked our guests through the dances with patience and wit. Our guests included some serious Scottish dancing enthusiasts together with a lot of enthusiastic amateurs, complete beginners and no hopers - all of whom had an absolute blast! We would highly recommend the band and a couple of our guests made enquiries about booking them for upcoming events, which speaks for itself. Thank you for providing us with fantastic memories filled with joy and laughter. "

"Here at Heart events we love The Misophone Collective. They played in our cafe on Tuesday night 30 April and they were amazing, we would welcome them back anytime. They started off with some Django Reinhart style numbers, playing in particular to the strengths of the 2 violins. In the second set they moved into a European gypsy theme getting more and more hectic and lively. The audience loved them and were up clapping and dancing- almost dancing on the tables! "

They were an incredible quartet and played both outside at the drinks reception and inside during dinner. Guests all said how well the band played and I could not be more grateful to them! "The Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio helped make our event go smoothly with great communication and punctual arrival. The music was well performed and great fun. The caller did a fantastic job of putting people at ease an encouraging lots of dancing and everyone had a great time. At our working event the next day, many attributed the positive mood and energy to the ceilidh the night before, so maybe it is the secret to successful strategy seminars?!"
