"Thank you for making our wedding such a special day. Absolutely everyone has commented on how brilliant the music was and how much they enjoyed it, both during the ceremony and later on in the evening. It was so uplifting and energetic, sincere but also fun at the same time. I’m afraid to say I burst into tears at one point in the evening as you played Ami Manero – it’s such a lovely tune and after umpteen glasses of champagne it all got a bit too much….tears of happiness, I hasten to add! We truly believe we couldn’t have picked a better band – you created exactly the mood we wanted and it was so nice to see all of our friends and family enjoying themselves so thoroughly on the dance floor. I joined some friends out on the terrace at one point, and the sound of the music drifting out through the French doors on the candlelit terrace created a really lovely atmosphere. Perfect. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you and will continue to tell anyone who will listen about your band. "

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / 16/07/2021 / Cecilia and Johny’s Wedding Mike and the Black Velvet Band played at our wedding and put together a fantastic set. They had very thoughtfully come up with some more Covid secure dances to cater for people wishing to stay in their respective bubbles but managed to maintain the energy and enthusiasm throughout. The music was brilliant and the calling was the best that I’ve seen at a ceilidh (a difficult skill to perfect!). We did 6 or 7 dances and the band very considerately asked how we (my wife and I) would like to lead the dances to ensure plenty of people engaged but we had no concerns as everyone joined in. All of our guests were delighted and we can’t thank the band for stepping in at relatively short notice, we had a brilliant time."

"lack Velvet Band Hoedown Trio were so much fun! We booked them for our first Barn Dance and were unsure of how it would work. They fully put our minds at ease as everyone got stuck into the fun! "We both wanted to extend our thanks for the wonderful music the BVB accordion and fiddle duo performed for us on our wedding day. We both had an amazing time and really felt that Mike and Jase added to the day immeasurably. Stef in particular enjoyed the special attention that was given to her by the duo - the guys played an instrumental version of her favourite song - and we both loved seeing family members singing along to Dutch classics. The interaction with the duo themselves was excellent and certainly helped us feel relaxed in both the run up to and on the day itself."
