Well rehearsed, enthusiastic, and with a vast set list and energetic performances, this band impresses audiences every time we have them back. "Another musician recommended Rachel, and I'm so pleased that he did! Rachel was joined by Matt on percussion as part of the Haystacks Duo, and they were perfect for our mini festival. They turned up on time, very friendly and professional. They were very accommodating to our guests - from kids having a sing along on their mic, to well oiled grown ups joining them too! The booking process and communications before hand were easy - all over email, and very efficient. Absolutely 10/10 - we will book for next year if we can! Thanks Rachel! "

"For 13 years I have coordinated highly successful ceilidh dances in Bishopbriggs High School and now the new Bishopbriggs Academy. These Christmas dances are the culmination of 3 weeks of social dance with all year groups and it it a priority of mine that we have live music to create an upbeat atmosphere. I consider it part of my job to ensure these traditional dances are taught in school in a way pupils will enjoy and will perpetuate. This year I secured the services of The Shooglers for our S5/6 dance. The evening was a fantastic success and enjoyed immensely by pupils and staff alike. The band worked a perfect blend of traditional Scottish dance tunes with contemporary music the pupils are familiar with, which heightened their participation in – and positive attitude to – “social dancing”. I have already asked the band to perform at next year’s S5/6 dance in the school. I know it will be a special occasion. I recommend The Shooglers unreservedly to anyone hosting school dances, weddings or any kind of function. "

I watched them by chance at Ruby's, a cocktail place in Dalston and for not expecting anything this was really a revelation. I couldn't keep my feet still... They play with so much joy that it carries you straight away."

"From my very first enquiry for my 30th birthday party, Deep Down Brass were so responsive and helpful, to the day of the event when they were there in plenty of time, set up without a fuss, looked amazing, we’re super flexible to my needs and played three fantastic sets which had the dance floor full all night. Particular highlights for me where when the band entered from all different corners of the room, my guests were wowed! And when Freed From Desire was playing during one of their between set breaks and they came out playing along, the room went mad and we had carnage for a few minutes! It was epic. Something so different to hear your favourite songs on brass. My guests are still talking about it now and I’m trying to think of an excuse for another party so I can book them again!"
