Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"The Port Vale Foundation run sessions called The Golden Valliant's during the week to combat loneliness and isolation amongst other things in our local elderly community and we are always looking for ways to entertain our guests and try and put a smile on their faces with the things we do there. As a friend of the duo I thought it might be a nice idea to get Adele and Andy to perform for us, and perform for us they certainly did. For 45 minutes they captivated everyone in the room with their wonderful harmonies, polished musicianship and genuine charm of a couple very much 'in tune' with each other on and off the stage. Adele's vocals are so smooth and captivating and Andy's energy and professionalism made our time with them go far too quickly. A real treat was had by all at our session and hopefully we will be lucky enough to get them to come back again and perform for us."

The band were incredible. We really enjoyed the music. It is so good to hear real instruments and you got all of us up dancing, even me, and my feet still hurt."

"Ma Bessie and her Blues Troupe played for us at our Community Charity fundraiser last weekend. Wow! What a soulful and sexy voice to go with a superb band! The band played in perfect harmony in less than perfect conditions and our crowd were thoroughly entertained. People were blown away with the quality of the performance, and many positive comments were made. Just book them!"

"Well… where to begin. We were looking for a band for our wedding pre COVID and went to see Soul Of The Party at the Green Room in Liverpool. As soon as we heard them, we knew they were the band for us. Richard was so helpful, this came in lucky as we ended up with 3 dates, thankfully all of which Soul Of The Party were able to rearrange. They learnt a song for our wedding which we had for the 1st dance and the whole night was perfect. The music, the sound, the stage presence, to waving my nephew off to bed who had been living his best life on the dance floor. It was a perfect night, we wouldn’t change a thing. We will be back to your gigs to relive the fun. Thank you!"

"Colette & Co were a fabulous addition to our street party. The music was a great selection, brilliantly performed and Colette’s voice was lovely . They were fun and chatty and entered into the spirit of the occasion. So many people mentioned how good the band were. We would love to have them again. Such a professional unit. How Colette stands and performs in those shoes we don’t know but she so looked the part. Thank you"

"We had a great night with Uptown Groove on Saturday night. The band turned up at the time when they said they would, did their checks and were ready to go when we were. They were flexible to work their set times around the football match that was finishing (England) and that was really appreciated - everyone was happy! The music they played was very varied and from the start it got people up dancing. A great evening was had by all. "

"The Oysland band and dance caller was an absolutely brilliant opening to our wedding party. They got nearly everyone on their feet twirling round the room and everyone else clapping and stamping their feet. It really helped build a feeling of community and warmth that lasted the whole night. I would highly recommend Oysland they were easy to work with, accommodating, reliable and great fun to have around. If you want accessible Klezmer with a modern twist Oysland are for you!"
