Review Centre: Function Bands

"This is the second year running we have used the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band for our St Patrick''s party, and they were a huge hit again. We had our biggest turnout for an event, making it a very successful fundraiser. A big part of this was people wanting to join in with the Ceilidh fun again, having experienced the band last year. The music and calling were excellent, and the dances were great fun. It was great to try some new dances too. Our guests were already talking about next year as they left!"

"Just a huge shout out to the band for playing my husbands party last Saturday. You were beyond fantastic, played longer than they were supposed to, shared the stage and their gear with a band they had never met. Utterly fab music. We have had so many letter commenting one of the best bands they have seen! We had a fab party, please pass on our thanks to all band members you made it hugely memorable and massive fun."

"Craig and I wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the rest of the band for playing at our wedding last weekend. The ceilidh went better than we could have hoped for and we have had so many comments from our family and friends saying how much they enjoyed it! We really appreciated all the patient instructions, (especially as most of us weren't familiar with the dances!) and thank you for accommodating all of our guests so everyone could join in. We also realise that our timings for the evening went a bit awry as the meal went on longer than planned, so we are really grateful to you for being so flexible and playing until later than planned.  The ceilidh really was the perfect end to our wedding day so thank you for making it such a success! "

"Having been recommended by a friend, I booked Andy for my 50th birthday party. He was great, everybody was up dancing on the dance floor. Good, prompt communication via email prior to the event. Good value, will definitely book him again."

We danced, we sang, we laughed and he made the party truly a night to remember.. An absolute professional, really easy to communicate with and responded to all my questions really quickly. "Both Alexis and I would like to say a huge thank you for the superb job you did at our Wedding. You were a pleasure to work with before the event and your performance on the night was absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much for taking the time to learn Jewish Wedding 2 the words for the Israeli dancing for us also- we really appreciated that! Your ability to read the crowd was great, you got everybody singing and the wide range of music you play meant there was something for everyone. My particular favourite was the unbelievable Billie Jean/Smells Like Teen-Spirit combo you played towards the end! Overall we had an amazing time and our Wedding would not have been the same without The Talent. Thank you so much!"

"A perfect duo for my birthday dinner party. They arrived on time and played gypsy jazz in the marquee whilst we enjoyed the banquet. They really added to the atmosphere of the evening!"

"We had these guys for our corporate event at The Faversham in Leeds. The music kept people on the dance floor and the percussion added something different to the night. The photopod was a great extra, with plenty of guests making use of it. Everything was handled well and it made the evening run really smoothly."

"I goggled and goggled looking for a band for our wedding reception and came across Lazy Marmalade and listened to some of their tracks. Then by chance came across them at a Shropshire wedding fayre and booked them immediately!! The guys are brilliant guitarists/vocalists and lovely with it!! They couldn’t have been more helpful in coming up with a package that suited our wedding and on the day they were perfect and everyone loved them!! Thanks guys!! "
