"Dear Rachel, I am sorry that I did not get to meet, greet , say thank you and goodbye to the quartet. The beginning of the day did not quite go as planned which led to a follow on of change in plans. This left us somewhat disconcerted and by the time we got to the library I think the allocated time for yourselves had elapsed. The music upstairs was beautiful and the guests I spoke to after told me that the music that you kindly played downstairs was wonderful. Leah really loved her entrance music which meant a lot to her. I particularly loved Disco 2000, despite never really liking that song, and my wife was in awe of your guitar work in Sweet Child of Mine. "When my mum passed away I knew I'd need live Irish music at the church and later at the wake. I came across Kindred Spirit duo on this site . They could not have been more perfect. Elaine on vocals and guitar was excellent and Martin on fiddle was outstanding, too. Their music was acoustic in the church when they played Lord of the Dance. It was exactly what I'd hoped for. At the venue they played a great variety of songs, including traditional and more modern, for example, The Corrs. The guests enjoyed their music and many guests took their details to book them for future events. They definitely made my mum's wake extra special - and memorable. Kindred Spirit Duo are friendly, eminently professional and very talented. In addition, they were very sensitive to the occasion. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you Elaine and Martin!"

"I first encountered The Tuning Forks fairly recently, at a 200 capacity independent venue in the Strathbungo area of Glasgow. I was there as House Audio Tech and it was one of those nights where before the soundcheck had even commenced, I had a sense that something pretty special was about to happen. The individual tones they delivered during soundcheck were staggeringly rich and I knew that once the faders were at unity and the ensemble played as a unit that my initial instinct had to be correct. I was NOT prepared for the emotive, playful and dare I say, danceable set which we were treated to. Like an organism made of limbs that mostly supported each other without obstruction, ego or flashiness, but with occasional forays into wild and feral territories; always as a unit and simultaneously bubbling like a pot on the stage with sudden bursts of joyous phrase manipulation or flurries of individual hyper-expression that always teased and never outstayed their welcome. I was left shellshocked and almost lost for words immediately following their performance. Frivolity, lullabying, romance, questing, struggle, sadness, ecstasy and introspection seemed to come like waves from the stage but, the overall feeling was that the explorations I was witness to were a fun and gentle love letter to the magic of the life experience. In summation… There are very few artists that inspire me to lower my inhibitions enough to literally ASK to work with them again as soon as possible… but that’s exactly what was called for!"

"We booked 106 Miles to Chicago DUO and DJ's for one of our Christmas parties (6 weeks of parties with a different theme for each) and it sold out quicker than all the others. I couldn't believe the gear that they bought with them. Most bands just turn up and play, but Andy and Chris bought backdrops, props, a DJ booth and lights and made it look brilliant! Our guests were up and dancing almost immediately, and stayed up and dancing all night! Never seen that before! A fantastic night and a brilliant act."

"I was quite shocked at how many performers I emailed earlier refused to talk on the phone if the gig wasn't finalized yet! These two guys were a blessing from heaven! Really kind and helpful through the various stages of organization, reassuring me even when stressed and worried about the event. I can't thank you enough Volare DUO, and all the guests wanted their contact after the party. Really happy! Recommended if you are looking for HIGH LEVEL musicians, super friendly and accommodating;)"
