"Andrew was great from start to finish and we booked him to play piano for our wedding ceremony and as background music during dinner. He took the time to visit our wedding venue before we actually booked him so he could provide a detailed plan for our day. He was also very accommodating in letting us hear some snippets of our specific song requests for our Big Day. His communication was great and he responded to our questions promptly and always put our mind at ease. The music was fantastic on our wedding day and we would highly recommend Andrew to anyone looking for a pianist to play at their wedding."

"Doug and Jasmine sang for my 50th birthday party. They played a great mix of music getting all ages dancing and even played most of our requests! They are such lovely people who couldn’t do enough for us and seem to enjoy the party as much as we did, which was all we wanted. Memories were made and a great evening was had by all."

"We recently had Radio Dukes play at our wedding and they were simply superb. I have worked with many, many bands at various events over the years andRadio Dukes rates amongst the top. Throughout the planning, I have been so impressed with the professionalism shown by the band leader, Mitch. He remained in regular communication through email and phone which made it easier to organise. On the day, we had the two-piece acoustic duo through the drinks reception and then the five-piece for the evening. The duo created a really nice ambiance for people to chat/drink. The five-piece was simply great fun and the dance floor was full all night. They even allowed my cousin to sing our first dance with them which was a really lovely touch and we are so grateful for this. Setup/Break-down was all done quickly and with no hassle/issues. I could go on with how great they were but if you're thinking of hiring this band then the answer is simple, just go and do it!"

"We booked Lady Luck for our recent wedding in Brighton and we have had so many guests compliment us on the sound, style and professionalism of the band - the lead singer Keisher in particular was amazing, every conversation I had with her leading up to the day she always seemed very calm and knowledgeable and it felt like we were in good hands. Then on the actual day her singing and energy were amazing, the main thing people spoke to us about the day after was how great the band were - she walks around in the crowd as she sings and people really seemed to love that too as she connected with the audience so well. Thanks Keisher and team for a great day 😊"

We had so many people compliment him and given half the chance I would have just sat next to him and watched and listened for the entire time! "We are so grateful to Black Velvet Ceilidh Band for their last minute flexibility in playing for our wedding! We moved the wedding forward by a month to beat the lockdown and the band not only made themselves available on the new date, but also changed the style of music with just 3 days notice! Firstly their contactability and organisation was brilliant, making the booking and discussions with them hassle-free. Ceilidh would no longer have been appropriate, so the guys played a mix of Irish songs and jigs and reels. The music they provided was fantastic, creating the most beautiful atmosphere for the milling around and photo time between ceremony and reception. They were inconspicuous but added so much. Would definitely recommend them (and their versatility!) for any event.’"

"I booked Black Velvet Band Irish Duo for my Mum’s 80th. It was a small family gathering in the back garden. The band were fantastic and even my mum was up dancing. It was a rare and happy sight!"
