Review Centre: Covers Bands

"I booked the 6 piece band and DJ for my fathers 60th, I looked at many bands and struggled for choice. It just so happened a friend of mine had seen The Marvellous Motown Souls at a wedding. This prompted me to book and im so glad we did. Liz was professional from the start and not a detail was missed. On the evening Liz basically coordinated the evening. Making announcements and making the party flow smoothly. Our son and daughter wanted a go on the drums which was no problem and they played the tambourine too, having loads of fun. The DJ (James) was always happy for requests and made sure nothing was missed. We met beforehand and James asked if there is any music we like, we requested older music and then more dance songs to end the evening. We were handed glow sticks and the band finished with their 90s medley, then the DJ took over and carried on with a dance set which was brilliant. This band goes far beyond just playing some music. What a great set of people to have as part of your party. 110% recommended, you will not be disappointed."

"We recently booked the DJ who also plays live percussion, and it was a fantastic addition to our venue. The mix of live energy with the DJ set created a brilliant atmosphere and had guests on their feet all night. Professional, easy to work with, and a real crowd-pleaser, we’d be happy to recommend and book again."

"What a great band! We contacted them 2 weeks prior to our event and they duly obliged. They got to the venue in good time and everything was very straightforward and easy. Music was tailored absolutely perfectly for our Young Members and it really got them going. Thank you Midnight Rumour. Definitely recommend them!"

You were beyond fantastic, played longer than they were supposed to, shared the stage and their gear with a band they had never met. Utterly fab music. "Thank you so much Maria and the band for playing at my wife Beth’s 30th birthday in Leeds on Friday. Many of the guests have been asking after you since then and many were much later home on the night than they planned as they were too busy dancing! The choice of songs, the quality of the playing and vocal - it was all excellent, perfect for the party and made the night that much more special. "An amazingly talented group of musicians who are obviously extremely dedicated to their profession. Punctual, easy going people who are all fabulous entertainers. At the Bethany's Smile event, My Girl Friday mesmerised the crowd with such an amazing performance that we booked them there and then for our Charity Ball. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to book a function band."

"WHAT A FANTASTIC BAND!!! I really couldn't recommend The Marvellous Motown Souls enough to anyone - nothing was too much trouble and they were so accommodating! They play a whole range of different music to suit all tastes and we even had a music medley quiz for our event and were blown away to learn they actually learnt how to play each song! They have a great chemistry together and you can tell they really love what they do, so if you are looking for a hassle free band that bring a whole lot of energy, fun and dancing to your event, look no further than The Marvellous Motown Souls! "I had the guys play two sets last Saturday night and have already booked them back in to play again in December. They were great on the night and played a range of songs and created a good atmosphere for a Saturday night."
