"Having reached the ripe old age of 65 this year, my partner organised a big Grumpy Old Gits Retirement Party for me in a marquee in our garden in Pangbourne. We had over 120 attend & most guests came dressed up as Old Gits (Victor Meldrew, Alf Garnet, Compo, Nora Batty etc.) and we needed a local band to get the place rocking, with a wide variety of covers from the 50's to the present day. Found Mike's band Back2Back (just up the road in Wantage) on this site and were not dissapointed. Fantastic set, got everyone up dancing, entertained us with humour between songs and even threw in a wireless solo guitar trip around the whole marquee. Very impressive PA sytem and lights, all remotely controlled by their own Sound Engineer and six musicians who know how to put on a very professional and tight sounding show. Everyone kept asking how we could afford such a good band. The nice thing is, they were so reasonable, we still had change out of our budget to spend the rest on a decent firework display at 10:30 in the evening, and after that, the band played on!! They were so good in fact, that as we organise the annual Pangbourne Village Fete each year, we have booked them as our main act for the second weekend in June 2019. I advise you try them out for your event before then (or come to the fete next year). Absolute rockers, thanks Mike and the rest of the band, see you in June, if not before at another event. "First and foremost, I must say that Overdrive put on a great performance that had the audience grooving and moving all night long. Their music was a blend of old school house and garage. The drumming was infectious, creating a truly immersive and engaging experience. But what really set Overdrive apart was their live performance. Both members of the band are clearly skilled musicians and performers, and they all worked together seamlessly to create a cohesive and captivating show. The lead singer had a powerful voice that soared over the music, and the drummer added a live dynamic, instead of the usual drum machine, all of which gave the music an extra layer of complexity and excitement. All in all, I would highly recommend Overdrive to anyone looking for a fun and engaging live electronic dance music experience. Their music and performance was top-notch, and they are sure to get you up and moving on the dance floor. "

"Swing Your Soul played at our Gala Dinner for the conference we were running, and were absolutely fantastic! The conference delegates had a ball and were up dancing right until the end – a sure sign that they were a big hit! Thanks to Ginger and the Swing Your Soul for playing at our event – would highly recommend if you want a cool, funky band to get the party started… and finished on a high note!"

"Gerry and the band were absolutely fantastic. Booking them was a smooth process and Gerry was very communicative, they were super flexible and happy to accommodate our requests, including letting my Dad get up on stage for a couple of songs! My Dad is still talking about it a week later, he was absolutely thrilled with them - they really made it a night to remember. The set list was great, the levels were perfect, every member of the band is an excellent musician, and they were consummate professionals throughout. We agreed 3 x 30 minute sets, but the last set they stayed on for nearly an hour! They even changed their outfits between sets, which was a lovely touch. Every single guest has said how great they were and how much they enjoyed the performance. I cannot recommend them highly enough and would book them again tomorrow; thank you, Gerry & the Geriatrics!!"

"We were delighted with Soulcentric performance at our wedding in May 2016. Cool, contemporary and very talented, the band were central to making the evening one big party, which is exactly what we wanted. The band were full of energy and appeared to be enjoying themselves as well, even performing a second encore completely off the cuff, as our demanding guests were loath to let them leave. One of our guests enjoyed it so much they were considering cancelling their own wedding band and booking Soulcentric instead. The band were very accommodating with requests, going out of their way to play a first dance song that isn’t part of their usual set list. The band were easily contactable ahead of the date to answer queries and were punctual and professional on the day itself. Our only regret is that we don’t have another event we can book them for. Highly highly recommend."
