"Thank you all so much for performing at our wedding on Saturday. You were all fantastic and so many of our guests have commented on what an amazing band you were. We couldn't have asked for better. I would highly recommend you to anyone wanting to book a band for their wedding who will be enjoyed by all ages. My nephew (the little guy in the gruffalo suit) has decided he wants to take up the guitar and be as cool as your guitarist! :-) Thanks again guys. We'll hopefully see you at another event soon!"

"I just have to thank Black Velvet Band for the great job they did at my 70th birthday ceilidh in Bristol on 24th June. I had such a great time, and that was partly down to the three of them working hard, and giving us great music to dance to. I danced every dance and enjoyed it so much. When the caller was explaining how to reel I thought, "Uh oh, this'll be fun!" and it certainly was ... I haven't laughed so much in ages. So, well done everyone involved, and if we ever have another I'll be sure to contact you again."

"We would just like to say on behalf of everyone who attended Antony performance on Saturday 22nd September 2018 at The Wheatsheaf East Hendred, that it was THE best singing performance they had witnessed. Antony and Nikki we’re very friendly and accommodating for all our needs, and nothing was too much trouble for them, and the interaction was great. We hope it isn’t the last time we see them. Overall, an absolutely brilliant night. Many thanks again to all concerned for an unforgettable night."

"We booked South West Band for our wedding at The Normans in March and we honestly couldn’t recommend them enough. They were easily everyone’s favourite part of our wedding day! They were so easy to work with in the run up of our wedding day - very responsive to emails and provided really useful information re timings. Excellent on the day! Everyone was up on the dance floor having an AMAZING time :-) We can’t wait to see them play live again!"

"I came across Alive and Kicking on the site, I liked the video and their song list, so I thought I'd book them for New Year's Eve 2019. I had a date spare for August, so I thought it would be good to get them to play a date before New Year. After a few emails back and forth to Jan, and speaking to Rich, we were all looking forward to them playing at Calmore Community Centre. They were very professional on arrival and setting up, and have to say they went down a storm. A fantastic variety of songs from most eras and all sounded great. I'm very glad we have them for New Year's Eve, and we all can't wait to see them again. "

"We booked Indie Rockers Band in 2020 and unfortunately had to postpone twice. The band was so accommodating and moved our booking each year with no issues. They were extremely helpful on the run up to our day helping with timings and the running of the day. Andy played an acoustic set for us in the day and the band played at the evening reception. Everything was set up for the speeches when we arrived, our guests have said how great the band were. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Indie Rockers Band and would recommend to anyone planning an event. Thank you so much!"

"Dear James You were all fantastic! Thank you for playing at our wedding reception. You made no fuss that we were running late, coped with all the requests we gave you in the run up with the french and Belgian music and are a brilliant band. We had a great time dancing, as did all our guests. If you are able to send the photos to us that would be lovely (I m in the post facebook era now…). We may book you again for a future event! All the best with your music - carry on playing! Helen & Pascal"

"Excellent from first to last contact regarding the booking. Very professional and on the ball - no waiting or chasing to see if the booking has been made or performer confirmed. Brilliant - have already recommended to people. The guests thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment and how Josh mingled with guests - superb performer. Thank you so much for making our day!"

"Rating 5/6 : Very Enjoyable Absolute Mayhem The Horse & Chains, Bushey on Saturday 30 September 2023 It's a rare thing to go into a local pub and hear a keyboard player who has been described as a musical "genius" by none other than David Bowie. This is no tall story either. The musician Billy Ritchie was the first player in rock music to give keyboards a prominent role -- and that was before Keith Emerson (ELP) and Rick Wakeman came on the scene. Billy told me that he remained good friends with the Thin White Duke until his death in 2016. Lanark-born Mr Ritchie now provides the skilful and fancy keyboards and records backing tracks for his latest incarnation Mayhem with talented female singer Carol Leslie. Carol is a really strong vocalist with a gutsy style. This dynamic duo started their first set at the cosy Sebright Arms with Elvis's late sixties' classic Suspicious Minds. The second song was a surprise -- Kirsty MacColl's comedy number There's A Guy Works Down The Chip Shop Swears His Elvis. It was a perfect choice after the first song. Carol and Billy select their material wisely and give their audience something very different from the predictable Mustang Sally, Brown Eyed Girl and I Saw Her Standing There, churned out by so many pub bands. So it was great to hear Georgio Moroder and Phil Oakey's electro smash Together In Electric Dreams, Matchbox's catchy rocker Rockabilly Rebel, Starship's uplifting We Built This City (on which Billy demonstrated his keyboard dexterity) and Solomon Burke's gospel-ish Cry To Me. And that was just the first half. Carol is happy to tackle songs usually associated with male vocalists and she started part two with a raucous version of Bryan Adams' rocker Summer Of 69. If you have never seen Mayhem, ask Billy to perform Light My Fire, the Doors rock classic from 1967. This was a sheer musical masterclass as he re-created both vocally and instrumentally this great song. Billy has a rich, tuneful voice and this was a stunning performance. Other highlights in the second half included Journey's rock anthem Don't Stop Believing, Carol's gritty interpretation if Shania Twain's Man I Feel Like A Woman and a fine performance of Bon Jovi's Living On A Prayer A total of 24 songs and I cannot wait to see this duo again. My only concern is their name. I think many club and pubgoers might think Mayhem are a heavy metal band rather than an all-round, top class duo. "Wired played at our wedding in August for our evening celebrations. They learned and performed a first dance song of our choice. They were better than we could have imagined, the songs were great and got everyone dancing. The lead female vocalist has an amazing and powerful voice. We would 100% recommend them for a party/celebration. "
