Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"These guys made our wedding! I don't normally bother to submit reviews but I know how hard it is to choose the perfect band for your wedding and having been so thrilled with what Ben and the rest of the guys did for us, I felt compelled to write. We had the duo doing background before speeches and then the quartet with sax, to kick off the party. It was simply perfect for the occasion and our 110 guests unanimously agreed that they loved the band! The guys added our choice of first dance to their playlist, which was superb. It bridged the generational gap at our wedding perfectly, we filled the dance floor with 6 to 86 year olds - no mean feat. After the last set, Ben stayed on to let us use his disco playlist on his laptop, which also worked fabulously well. My wife and I'm sure 110 of our guests wouldn't hesitate to recommend this band. A massive thank you, you were a real highlight and also all great guys :-)"

"Had Steve and Milka perform for us at our wedding July 2025. WOW what a performance and sound they produced and created a fantastic atmosphere which was a great start to our fantastic day. Both Steve and Milka were very engaging professional and accomplished. Communicating with Steve from my initial enquiry to our communication a week or so before our wedding to finalise the play list was excelllent. Steve’s guidance on what would work for them in terms of arrangement for the piano and violin was invaluable. All of our guests thought their performance in its entirety was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend their hiring to perform at your wedding or any other event that you want to have professional musicians performing on the piano and violin as a duet. Thank you Steve and Milka"

"We were so pleased that we came across The Fireflies for my mums 60th party. They were incredible! Very engaging and got everyone up and dancing, nothing but smiles and singing throughout the audience! Highly recommend!"

"Moon River were amazing for my baby’s birthday yesterday and it was something so different. They played jazz, theatre and pop music of my choosing from their repertoire and then lots of nursery rhymes. All ages were catered for; their communication was great and they turned up early to set up. Highly recommend."

"The Goodfellows recently played at our customer event in Shelsley Walsh and were a great new addition to the event. Playing over the lunchtime period, they provided entertainment to our customers who gave nothing but excellent feedback on their performance. We are really looking forward to seeing them at our next event in August. I would definitely recommend them and will look to use them for any future events :)"

"Royal String Ensemble played at our wedding ceremony at Gaynes Park, in Epping Forest on the 3rd of January 2017. The group were absolutely fantastic, many of my guests came up to me in the reception to comment and how good they were. The band were highly professional and very attentive to my ideas, they were happy to mix their conventional classical music pieces with some modern pop songs I had selected. The band met with me prior to my wedding day for an initial consultation to discuss what I'd like on the day, the format, theme of the wedding etc., they then provided me with some ideas of music that they had played at other weddings and were always extremely responsive to my emails. In particular the band really stood out and went the extra mile by kindly agreeing accompany my brother and sister (both amateur guitar and drum players) in playing a song at our wedding. This involved them re-writing the sheet music in the correct key, meeting with my brother and sister one evening to rehearse the song, and then arriving at the ceremony earlier than usual to rehearse with my brother/sister before the start of the ceremony. They are a fantastic group and I am sure they will have a hugely successful future ahead of them, they certainly made my wedding ceremony very special and unique, as one of my guests said when describing their music "they are certainly one to remember.""

"Appearing at my pub, THE CARPENTERS, London E2 tonight, MAYHEM was a surprisingly good act, playing with a verve and dynamism unusual in a mere pub covers band. Outstanding harmony vocals, and a quite brilliant keyboard player, who, I discovered afterwards, had been described by none other than David Bowie as “a genius”, appearing on a Sky TV documentary called “Trailblazers” in recent years, touted as the pioneer of a whole music era. Hearing him play ‘live’, I wouldn’t doubt it. And his sidekick, Carol, was no slouch herself, outstanding and distinctive vocals throughout. Will be out of our price league soon, I would say. "

"The Shamrock experience were truly brilliant. A really fun, friendly and energetic band who came to play for my family and friends at my 21st. Their playing was fantastic, running a ceilidh which was really enjoyed by everyone. It was the perfect band for the occasion and I highly recommend them."

From playing background during the reception creating a wonderful atmosphere, to supplying the music between awards, choosing the perfect repertoire & level of interaction.
