"It’s March and still raining. I’ve trawled through some serious procrastination to decide where I’m going tonight; at least three decent live music offerings in Chester that I know of. And I’m sure the others were brilliant. The Original 90’s Britpop Experience are, in their own words, a “tribute to the British Britpop music scene” and a “powerful combination of passion and quality.” A tribute band, to me, equals lunatic professionalism. To tribute a whole scene is a big ask. Good covers bands are rare enough, taking that enormous and unlikely step beyond random amateur recreation. But these guys really do tick the box of perfectionists, professional curators though. Friday night was time travel night with a set list that captured the point where British alt-rock got (largely) happy and popular (in a good way). A guitar-dominated, looping and lurching opener with Ocean Colour Scene and The Riverboat Song; polished and convincing. The second song in and I’m braving the dance floor with the pointy-shooed brigade. A few songs further and they offer me proof of their professionalism. A very-very-very long time ago I was lucky enough to make it into Brixton Academy and unfortunate enough to catch James on a sincerely off night. And I’ve heard James and Sit Down many times since: at home, on the radio, in DJ sets and covered more than it should be. It's one of those beautiful songs that gets tired through overuse. And on this particular Friday night I heard it come alive; all vitality restored. There were the things I expected; a good dose of Blur and Oasis both, Stereophonics, Bluetones and more, then some referencing back to foundation stones with The Who and The Jam. The Original 90’s Britpop Experience switched between styles and musical voices with conviction; into acoustic things and seamlessly back out again. The magic of seeing grown men dance without a pint in hand happened repeatedly through the two sets. On any given set you pray for that one song you don’t see coming; the track you might flick through on the album that becomes something else entirely live. So it was with Blur’s Charmless Man. That perfect Blur poetry, is simple, direct and delivered with energy. The Original 90’s Britpop Experience are a good distance from being charmless. They are careful collectors and curators of songs; fine musicians and performers!"

"Tim, Rohan and Kat were absolutely great. They performed at the ceremony and for the evening at our wedding in north Cornwall. Communication was superb throughout, with generous advice and additional support where needed. They were the stars of the day, with many people complimenting the arranged and live music throughout. They got the whole party going, and we’re polite and courteous. Kat voice is superb and they are performed incredible music. Cannot recommend them enough. Jacob and Ami X "

"Hi Ben, Thanks so much for doing the music, you guys were absolutely fantastic. Had a number of people say how great the band were. Also thanks soo much for learning Jack Savoretti, was the highlight of the evening.. I've never heard a cover of that song before and it sounded absolutely superb.. "Lucy performed everything from our ceremony music to the evening and it was absolutely incredible and loved by all! Any request was never too much to do and her personal music we loved! "We had The Smooth Criminals play at our wedding and they were nothing short of phenomenal. From start to finish, they kept the energy high, the dance floor packed, and the smiles on everyone’s faces. A special thanks to James, who took the time before the wedding to really understand our vision and music preferences. Those pre-wedding meetings were invaluable, and the band absolutely smashed every request we made. A huge shout-out also goes to their incredible female lead singer – her voice was stunning, and her energy was absolutely electric. She had everyone from our youngest guests to our grandparents up and dancing, and the atmosphere she created was unforgettable. We’ve had so many compliments from guests saying it was the best wedding band they’d ever seen, and we couldn’t agree more. If you want a band that will bring your party to life and make your night truly memorable, look no further than The Smooth Criminals."

"I recently booked Audio Riot for a work function and they were absolutely fantastic. Ian was brilliant from the moment we spoke which made organising the event less stressful, knowing that any changes I had he would try his best to accommodate. The guys are super talented and had everyone up and dancing. So much energy from them all which really made the event. Thank you all so much. Can’t wait for the next one!"

"The Jazz Revival are a breath of fresh air. They put their own twist on some of our best loved songs with skill and precision. "Oh my gosh, the band were just absolutely fantastic. We had so many compliments about how talented they are and everyone loved the energy they brought to the day! The communication with Ian was brilliant from start to finish, he got back to you so quickly. Also helping to pick various songs for different parts of the wedding when we didn’t have a clue. He was also really helpful on the day- from carrying my dress to moving the crowd to the right place, nothing was too much trouble. The band also made sure to play everyone’s favourite songs we sent over - they loved it! You definitely won’t regret picking these guys ."
