"We recently hired It's No' Reel Ceilidh Band for our wedding and were extremely pleased. Right from the beginning, communicating with the band was easy and stress free. The band arrived on time and set up without disturbing our reception in the next room. The band played exceptionally and everyone had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great band!"

"My residents loved these guys so much. Music was great, singing absolutely fantastic. Really played to the crowd and got them singing along. So friendly afterwards too, having a chat with the residents. I've received so much great feedback about them. Can't wait to get them back again! "

"I just have to thank Black Velvet Band for the great job they did at my 70th birthday ceilidh in Bristol on 24th June. I had such a great time, and that was partly down to the three of them working hard, and giving us great music to dance to. I danced every dance and enjoyed it so much. When the caller was explaining how to reel I thought, "Uh oh, this'll be fun!" and it certainly was ... I haven't laughed so much in ages. So, well done everyone involved, and if we ever have another I'll be sure to contact you again."

"It’s No' Reel Scottish Ceilidh Band was absolutely amazing. My husband is Scottish and I am Venezuelan so we wanted to have a mix of both worlds, half ceilidh and half merengue/salsa. The band was very flexible and happy to alternate with the salsa sessions! They were great and on board with the idea! Organizing and coordinating with the band was very easy and they were great helped when choosing the first dance! We went for the four piece band and it truly was phenomenal, they made everyone feel comfortable and were amazing with the directions for both the Scottish and International (both from America, Venezuela and the States and Europe). Everyone enjoyed themselves and kept saying how amazing the band was months after!! Definitely recommend them!"

"Miaya and Lucas were everything we hoped for and more! They got everyone on the dance floor with their great voices and brilliant song choices and seemed to really join in with the fun! So many of our guests said how brilliant they were after the wedding. They made the whole evening and I wouldn’t think twice about booking them again."

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Emma’s Daughter’s Wedding – April 2025 What a brilliant evening! The band were exactly what we wanted for my daughter’s wedding and really helped the reception go with a swing. Good music and the caller was great fun and guided us through the dances. Really good communication leading up to the wedding, too. Thank you for a fabulous evening."

" Somerset Soul and Rebecca performed at our wedding in December 2021 and they were absolutely fantastic. Rebecca is a great singer and the band are superb musicians - there were great guitar solos. At the end of the evening and following the wedding, so many of our guests told us that they thought they were a great wedding band, and the dancefloor was full for the whole evening. They responded and reacted to the crowd expertly. The set list was a great selection of genres and decades, enjoyed by 3 generations. Rhona, their manager, was great to deal with before the wedding - she asked us questions, she shared an example set list, and she arranged for the first dance to be played."
