"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Janet’s 69th Birthday Ceilidh – June 2025 Oh what a night it was! Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio was the perfect choice for a celebration. They chose dances that matched the skill and enthusiasm of my guests. Setting the right pace is good when lots of guests belong to a running club! Guests from Hong Kong, Greece, Vietnam China and USA had no idea what they were coming to … The band arrived on time, setting up easily and Phil’s friendly manner of instruction was just right. My 6 year old niece (who is VERY shy) shocked her mother by joining the dancing! Lovely comments from guests: “I haven’t danced like that in years” and ” The most fun and dis-organised chaos I’ve had in ages!"

"Had Blu Country for our wedding band and they took care of music for the whole day, from ceremony right up to the end of the night and it was perfect. Such great song choices from beginning to end, and they pitched the mood exactly how I dreamed it. Thank you so much and hope to see you live again soon!"

"I just have to thank Black Velvet Band for the great job they did at my 70th birthday ceilidh in Bristol on 24th June. I had such a great time, and that was partly down to the three of them working hard, and giving us great music to dance to. I danced every dance and enjoyed it so much. When the caller was explaining how to reel I thought, "Uh oh, this'll be fun!" and it certainly was ... I haven't laughed so much in ages. So, well done everyone involved, and if we ever have another I'll be sure to contact you again."

"Lilac and her team were absolutely amazing on Friday night! , I still haven’t recovered. We had a wonderful barn dance for my birthday party . The music was sensational and they even learnt a new song just for me and made a cracking job of it too. They kindly played on extra time which was brilliant and very much appreciated. I could not have asked for better entertainment."

"Your repertoire of music was exactly as we requested. To please such a wide age range from 10 year old to 80 year old is some achievement. You also managed to include some songs that Bob and I requested !!! Lots of our friends and family commented on how they enjoyed the music. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend you. "Josh has created something very special here. They have taken something that has been around for many years ie a rock and roll/rockabilly band and managed to make it sound and look completely brand new. I have been watching live bands for two decades now and also playing in many myself and the Rockabilly Raucous are one of the best I have ever seen. A superb debut original album too."

"Danny and Catherine played at our wedding a few weeks ago, and I cannot recommend them enough. They play a great range of songs, tailored to your preferences, are great fun, and worked the audience magnificently, getting everyone dancing from the three year-olds to the seventy three year-olds. Before booking, I checked out the clips on you-tube, and compared them with lots of other bands, and no-one else came close. They lived up to, and surpassed, our expectations. "Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / Georgia's Wedding Ceilidh / October 2024 It was so much fun to have the trio along and they were so clear with their instructions that even the French at our wedding could follow along. Mike’s communication was superb and at one point extremely helpful by replying quickly with a key document, as we dealt with a problem with our venue. Thank you all."

"These guys were just great and made a special birthday really special. Just loved Mike’s amazing fiddle playing. They accommodated all our requests for Irish and Scottish music and were flexible around times which was great as lunch was later than anticipated. Would highly recommend."
