"I booked Chattahoochee Duo to play at my 40th Birthday Party. They are the perfect duo. Sarah has the most beautiful, versatile voice and Ben is an extremely talented acoustic and electric guitarist, together they are incredible. We chatted beforehand so that they could get a good feeling for the type of music I wanted which ranged from 80’s cheese to modern chart hits. They delivered a fantastic playlist and created a wonderful atmosphere for the party over three live sets and a music playlist in between. It was so wonderful to be able to dance to music again. Highly recommended for anyone looking to Party like it’s 2019! Huge thanks to Chattahoochee Duo xx "

"James was absolutely brilliant. He came in and set up without a fuss, played two absolutely cracking sets of all the songs we had picked in advance from his set list PLUS a load of extra songs that he had recorded accompaniments for especially for our party! He is a very talented musician and singer and the icing on the cake was his performance of the song we did our first wedding dance to. We will definitely be asking him to regale us again in the future. Thanks for a genuinely brilliant night James! :)"

"Well what can we say! Jack was absolutely fantastic arrived on time with equipment set up ready for the evening. They sang lots of different songs from old to new keeping the ears of our guests entertained ready for more. was absolutely amazing such a talented band would love to have thwmat another event. The only down side was that the evening seemed to go to fast but as the saying goes time flys when your having fun. Would so love to see them again in the future absolutely fantastic performance what an amazing band."

"What an amazing band. Entertained us for a works event with their great music and some fabulous line dancing as well. Instructions were clear and easy to follow and it was such good fun. Would totally recommend to anyone who wants to do something a bit different"

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Judy and Jenny’s 80th Birthday Party – February 2026 We found Black Velvet friendly, professional and very talented musicians. Communication ahead of time was prompt and helpful, and on the day they arrived on time and set up discreetly. The music was enjoyed by everyone, a room full of smiles and laughter. "Booked Kelly and graham for our small wedding . Really nervous as you never really know what you are going to get . Well let me tell you , Kelly and graham from the offset , great communication , happy to offer suggestions , learned new material especially for us . Prompt professional and out of this world . "Fab. and Hungry Hill were FAB! Great musicians... and they know how to "work the crowd" and get everyone moving! Very impressed that Fabrizio took the time to visit our venue before the event and was easy going and didn't hesitate to play the songs we wanted to hear - very professional and reliable ... great guitarists and drummer... "We have booked the Black Velvet Band for the past 3 years to run a ceilidh for our summer school students. It has been an absolute pleasure working with and getting to know the band over the last few years. The dances are always fun, easy to follow, and energetic - perfect for any ceilidh beginner! I would highly recommend this group for any and all events. A quote from one of our students sums it up nicely: "My favorite activity was the Ceilidh, where everyone from the summer school learned traditional British dances. It was a joyful night in a beautiful garden at the university, and I will treasure the memory for some time.""

"Booked Paddy for a 40th birthday party at a smallish venue. He was incredible! Asked for three diverse song requests beforehand and he absolutely nailed them all. All other songs in the set complimented each other and everyone was up in their feet dancing. I made the mistake of booking for 1 hour only… definitely book for longer as the performance was amazing and if you are lucky enough to book Paddy, you and your guests will not want him to stop singing/playing. Paddy is a real talent and you will not be disappointed! "

"A big thank you to you and your fellow musicians in the It's No' Reel Scottish Ceilidh Band for making our retirement ceilidh a really memorable night. We were so pleased that we chose you, thanks really to your excellent website. You were thoroughly professional in your approach and from our first e-mail communications we got a sense of reassurance - even although we had never heard you play live. We were also pleased that we chose to have a second fiddle - that gave such a wonderful sound. A friend & I were putting finishing touches to things in the foyer while you were tuning up. You then started to play, we looked at each other, both gave a spontaneous 'thumbs up' and big smiles - we knew then that it was going to be a great night! We know from our friends and family that they all did have a great night and you were the most talked about part of the whole evening. I just wish we could do it all again so we could get more time to sit and listen to your music - it all went by in a bit of a blur for Greg & I. Apart from comments on your professionalism, the quality of your playing and the fact that you got the sound level just right - many people told us how much they enjoyed listening to what you played between the dance tunes. We did not need the disco playlist after all! I just hope that we are able to hear you play live again! Thanks once more to you all, you made our special night even more special. We would recommend you to anyone looking for a band for a special event - we could not have asked for more. Thank goodness you were free on the 27th!!"
