"A great addition to our special day!! Astri Strings played beautifully for our ceremony, in what is quite a nervous an emotional time the ladies played songs that mean a lot to me and my wife and really made the ceremony exactly what we had dreamed of. Jude was excellent ahead of the event, ensuring we had the perfect song list and timings for the day. A number of our guests also commented on how lovely the music was. Many thanks Dec 23 "

"Jude and Vicki played at our wedding reception and they were really fantastic! Their music was exactly what we had hoped for and brought a warm and relaxed atmosphere that was perfect during the outdoor drinks and canape reception. Our guest are still talking about how beautifully they played and loved the set list choices that blended a classical charm and modern songs. They are professional, graceful, and genuinely lovely performers and we are so so happy that we chose them to play on our special day. Fiona and Scott Wasing July 2025"

"Dear Anne I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your recent performance of the above at St Chad's in Shrewsbury. It was a real honour to hear you and your colleagues at the absolute top of your game. I am so glad I made the trip from my home in Buckinghamshire to come and hear you all. I think what struck me most, was how meticulously well prepared it was. Your attention to all the smallest details of dynamic and phrasing were in evidence right from the very outset. The balance between instruments was superb. As a pianist, I thought Richard's playing was wonderful, drawing out the many colours of that piano. "Dear Anne, Thank you all for you efforts throughout the day! Many people commented on how superb the quartet was. It was such a special element to the day. We are so so pleased with the performances, song choices and effortless ease in which carried out their role. Despite being a working day for them, we hope they had the opportunity to enjoy some of the food and weather! "We recently hired Petford Ensemble for an event and were incredibly impressed with their performance. The music was a perfect blend of classics and modern takes, reminiscent of the soundtracks from Bridgerton! We can't thank them enough for adding such a magical touch to our event. " I want to say a huge thanks to everyone in the orchestra, and particularly to you for being so supportive and sharing your experience and expertise on what has felt like a huge personal journey for me with Gerontius. The most difficult thing about delivering the piece is in managing the demands Elgar makes whilst always being present in the moment and understanding the purpose. It is a truly unique piece of music and I could not have wished for a more wonderful and confident group of players. They brought fierce resilience, skill, kindness and understanding, and a huge range of expression making anything possible. Best of all, it felt like we were all working as one team.  "

"I just wanted to extend a massive thank you for playing at our wedding on Saturday. You were fantastic! I will never forget the look on my dads face as he started dancing immediately when you played Mr Blue Sky. All the guests very much enjoyed it!
