Review Centre: Acoustic Bands

"We booked The Ragtag Misfits to entertain guests at our daughter’s Christening party during the summer. We were looking for something different to the usual “disco dj” and also needed to keep both adults and children happy. This eclectic duo brought an almost “festival vibe” to the party and were truly amazing, playing recognisable tunes in their own (I guess you could call it “bohemian”) Rag Tag style. What’s more, they provided a guitar case full of percussion instruments so the little ones could join in, such a wonderful touch. It got too hot on the day of the party and the Rag Tag Misfits moved outdoors for the last hour, something a DJ wouldn’t have been able to do so easily with all the setting up needed. Helly and Andy are professional, reliable and friendly as well as fabulous entertainers. Thank you so much – everyone loved you"

"What an absolute pleasure and privilege it was to welcome Cover Up to the Creigiau Inn on Saturday, 25th July. From the moment you started playing, you created the most incredible atmosphere, and it was so lovely to look around and see my guests smiling, singing, dancing, and genuinely having the best time. You brought such amazing energy to the pub, and I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better night. My guests absolutely loved every minute, and I have to say, I loved every minute too! It’s nights like this that remind me why I love what I do and why live music is so special. Seeing everyone come together, have fun, and make memories is what it’s all about. Thank you both so much you were absolutely brilliant, and it was a real pleasure to have you play in my pub. I really, really hope this isn’t the last time we get to welcome you to the Creigiau Inn. I would absolutely love to have you back when you’re next visiting Cardiff, and I’m already looking forward to hopefully doing it all over again! Thank you, guys, for an unforgettable evening. "Kodiak Avenue performed for us in our garden on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. Jayne's lovely voice soured above the murmur of the guests, complemented by the clever guitar accompaniment. Many friends and family complimented us on our choice. We let them choose their own set, but they were open to our suggestions and genuinely anxious to please. We loved having them perform for us and recommend them highly. It made a great day something special."

"The Hot Hats played three great sets at our wedding, having our guests dancing from the first song. Their music complimented the warm summer evening that we were luckily enough to have and our guests commented on how much they were enjoying the band. The Duo are personable and professional and I would definitely recommend them to others. Thanks again for a great evening!"

"Having previously seen Rosy at a number of South Wales venues, imagine my delight to discover my sister had booked this fabulous all rounder to play at her wedding! Rosy has the superb ability to capture a room and its occupants with her beautiful voice and well planned out sets. Whether playing at a raucous live music venue, country/folk festival or private event Rosy seems to effortlessly charm the crowd and play music to suit all attending."

"The Cheers were amazing, I hired them for my wedding and I cannot recommend them enough. From start to finish there communication was excellent. They spoke with the venue directly and created a stress free experience for me. They answered any question I had, and had a very handy guide to use for timings and common questions from their previous experience. They were brilliant. The band itself is awesome, everyone at the wedding came and asked me where I found the band, they got everyone up and dancing. We had a male and female singer, both were excellent. The song choice they made, had everyone laughing, and bouncing around. You know there brilliant when the venue asked for their details to recommend them to other couples :D I have nothing bad to say, professional throughout, great communication and the music was just perfect. They also learnt our 1st dance song and smashed it out the park. Thanks Ben and the whole band, It was magical Roxanne & Matthew Langley."

My customers enjoyed every minute, and Sunny Steel bought a bit of sunshine to London. I will be booking them again."

"We used Future Looks Good duo for our wedding party and were thrilled with their performance. All of our guests commented how good they were too. We didn’t give them a playlist, but they just seemed to pick all the right songs to create a perfect night. They literally played all our faves! Our only request was that they played our ‘first dance’, which they’d learnt specially and did us proud. The booking process and communications leading up to the event (all done via email) was extremely smooth and my messages were always answered quickly. Mike and Anthony were so friendly and professional. They are also remarkably talented and we would not hesitate to recommend them"
