Review Centre: Acoustic Bands

"I was excited when I met Joe and Dora on the Princess Crown Cruise in November. I was with two other couples for the special entertainment a few times in the Bar Lounge on the ship. It was a lot of fun listening to your music and dancing. I would like to let you know what happened a funny story when I first met them. As my friends were getting their formal pictures taken just before me in line, I suddenly decided that as I was single at this cruise, I would ask have my formal portrait with a dashing man standing behind me in line. I wanted to get a picture with a handsome young man to make my Single lady friends jealous at home. Wow! What a surprise when he said “ Great, but how would you like Adorra with you . Thank you so much for taking your picture with me. I was grateful for your generosity and kindness. The cruise was so memorable for me because of all of you. Thank you again."

"They are a fab couple! So genuine & Both brilliant singers!! More than willing to learn song requests & keep everyone entertained! They are able to adapt their singing for different styles ranging from acoustic sets, folk, jazz, soul and pop! They’ve done a brilliant job at the Falésia Hotel in the Algarve, Portugal. Perfect couple for any occasion!"

"This band is a class act. Joanne has an unique voice that if heard once, you will instantly recognise. She has a great range and sometimes sings in an operatic tone too. Her husband James is a great guitarist and singer too. They compliment each other and are fun to watch. You will not be disappointed."

"Planning a wedding is really complicated and there are so many hard decisions, so let’s make this an easy one - just book the Hot Hats! Alfie and the team are absolutely phenomenal, if you want a fun acoustic duo who’ll draw people to the floor or get spontaneous dancing at the bar, these really are your guys. Their choice of music was brilliant and had the full range to suit everyone, all played perfectly. I’ve seen a number of duos at weddings and whilst many are great musicians, many can be quite sterile, getting up, doing their thing and leaving - the Hot Hats most definite aren’t. They are super-friendly and the audience engagement is amazing, I spent as much time laughing along with them as I did dancing and they expertly wield that engagement to draw people into the party. Having perfectly read the room, they led us into the perfect night of entertainment! The engagement with Alfie beforehand was brilliant and he made the whole process really straightforward and the day itself also couldn’t have been easier - the Hot Hats turned up early, sorted everything with the venue and even stepped in when we forgot to announce we were cutting the cake! They handle everything musical, they come with some great kit and even run DJ sessions between their sets so you get the full musical package. So save yourself some party-planning time and just go for them - you really won’t regret it!"

"Just wanted to let you know how great the band were on Saturday. I don’t think they are used to being in a small marquee in someone’s back garden but they were brilliant, even offering to squeeze into a small space so they could be closer to the dance floor. All of our family and friends loved it and I would definitely recommend them."

"I can not recommend Georgia enough. We booked her very early on when planning our wedding and things moved around right up to the day before the big day. Georgia was completely calm and flexible and just did her own thing. I didn't have to think about directing her for a second on the day she just read the room and was in the exact right place at the right time. The music she chose was perfect and really set the atmosphere throughout the day. She did a cover of our song as I walked down the aisle and it was the most beautiful version we've ever heard. Her and Louis then did a quick 30 minute set during the canape and cocktail reception which got people ready to move into the main hall for dinner. They then finished off with the first dance, the father/daughter dance and then a bunch of songs to get people up and dancing. Her voice is incredible and she has this incredible ability to get people up and moving whilst providing a tone where people can still talk at the tables if they wanted to. We've been to too many weddings where the music was too loud and if you wanted to sit a song out you had to leave the room so it was really important to us to get the right balance. Georgia was without a doubt one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and we are so thrilled her and Louis were a part of our big day!! What a talent!"
