"Lizzie was absolutely lovely and had taken the time to ask me what the colour scheme was for the day so she could dress accordingly. How very thoughtful of her. Her repertoire was very varied, from the Beatles to classical music, and was perfect. My niece and her new husband, together with our guests, really enjoyed Lizzie's playing. The most magical and memorable piece of music for us all was when she played "Let It Go" from the film Frozen, and our grandchildren sang along with Lizzie. A tear-jerking moment! Lizzie was a real star and we enjoyed every moment! "

"Bit late but wanted to put my 10/10 review on here for Paula. We hired Paula to sing 70s music for my mums 70th birthday party back in November. Paula was absolutely perfect, everybody loved her and she was the talking point of the night. I thought her singing was better on the night than in her professional videos. We’d had a very stressful day, Paula arrived on time and put us at ease straight away. Thank you Paula for making my mums night special. I’ll see you in 10 years at her 80th :) "

"Having Lyra Strings play at our wedding was an absolute joy. From our very first conversation, she was warm, professional, and attentive to every detail, ensuring all our requests were handled in such a personal and reassuring way. We had a specific song in mind for the start of our ceremony, and Lyra Strings performed it beautifully. It created the most romantic and emotional atmosphere, and so many of our guests came up to tell us how much they loved it. Even days later, we were still receiving messages about how her music was one of the standout moments of the day. We chose a mix of classical and modern pieces, and each one was performed with such elegance—it truly set the tone for a perfect day. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lyra Strings. Thank you so much for making our wedding so unforgettable!"

"Just a note to say thank you and the band so much for playing at my 60th party last Saturday. We had an absolutely fab time and so did all our friends. Everyone loved the band… I have had two requests for your contact details already! "Ollie was fantastic - honestly, people haven't stopped telling us how good his voice is and how great his playing was. (and a few of the ladies might have mentioned he's not bad in the looks department too!) He was super flexible, very easy to work with, promptly arrived and with absolutely minimal input required from us and he was happy to crack on with anything to help the night become a success. You won't regret booking someone of his talent, we promise :) "

"Simon was outstanding at my uncles funeral. He was also incredibly helpful in helping us choose music for the service and he was immaculately dressed in his Highland wear. The family are still talking about Simon even a month after the funeral. He is an excellent piper very professional and I would recommend 100 percent."

"The Blue Ceilidh band are absolutely fantastic! They stand out not only because of the quality of the musicians but also because of the caller gives the ceilidh such a fun atmosphere. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Book with confidence."

"Monica was outstanding and very professional. From speaking with us prior to the event to learn the kind of music we wanted to arriving in plenty of time knowing that we would be busy as the event started. In terms of performance, this was also brilliant. She engaged with the crowd and got them up and dancing which was the first time this had happened in our bar since the Covid pandemic. We would highly recommend her and will be welcoming her back to The Bar very soon thats for sure "
