"We were initially unsure if a Country band would work for our diverse group, but they were phenomenal! They managed to bring that infectious Country energy without alienating anyone. The music was fun and lively, offering something for everyone—no forced line dancing, just a fantastic, universally enjoyable performance. If you're on the fence, book them!"

" We would both just like to say how awesome you were at our wedding. Everyone was commenting from the moment you started playing. Oh and our first dance song, just unbelievable! Exactly what we wanted. "

"Rating 5/6 : Very Enjoyable Absolute Mayhem The Horse & Chains, Bushey on Saturday 30 September 2023 It's a rare thing to go into a local pub and hear a keyboard player who has been described as a musical "genius" by none other than David Bowie. This is no tall story either. The musician Billy Ritchie was the first player in rock music to give keyboards a prominent role -- and that was before Keith Emerson (ELP) and Rick Wakeman came on the scene. Billy told me that he remained good friends with the Thin White Duke until his death in 2016. Lanark-born Mr Ritchie now provides the skilful and fancy keyboards and records backing tracks for his latest incarnation Mayhem with talented female singer Carol Leslie. Carol is a really strong vocalist with a gutsy style. This dynamic duo started their first set at the cosy Sebright Arms with Elvis's late sixties' classic Suspicious Minds. The second song was a surprise -- Kirsty MacColl's comedy number There's A Guy Works Down The Chip Shop Swears His Elvis. It was a perfect choice after the first song. Carol and Billy select their material wisely and give their audience something very different from the predictable Mustang Sally, Brown Eyed Girl and I Saw Her Standing There, churned out by so many pub bands. So it was great to hear Georgio Moroder and Phil Oakey's electro smash Together In Electric Dreams, Matchbox's catchy rocker Rockabilly Rebel, Starship's uplifting We Built This City (on which Billy demonstrated his keyboard dexterity) and Solomon Burke's gospel-ish Cry To Me. And that was just the first half. Carol is happy to tackle songs usually associated with male vocalists and she started part two with a raucous version of Bryan Adams' rocker Summer Of 69. If you have never seen Mayhem, ask Billy to perform Light My Fire, the Doors rock classic from 1967. This was a sheer musical masterclass as he re-created both vocally and instrumentally this great song. Billy has a rich, tuneful voice and this was a stunning performance. Other highlights in the second half included Journey's rock anthem Don't Stop Believing, Carol's gritty interpretation if Shania Twain's Man I Feel Like A Woman and a fine performance of Bon Jovi's Living On A Prayer A total of 24 songs and I cannot wait to see this duo again. My only concern is their name. I think many club and pubgoers might think Mayhem are a heavy metal band rather than an all-round, top class duo. "Hi John, Sara, Roddy, Jack, Zad and Fabio What can I say You guys just rocked the roof off Camberley Heath Golf Course. I was slightly overthinking my party arrangements before as you know but we were in safe hands. You clearly know what works and what doesn’t as the atmosphere inside that room was second to none. My phone has not stopped with calls and texts saying where did we find you guys. Thanks a million, as I said to you when you left we must get together and arrange another function next year as it felt to me like you were part of the party. Cheers Speak soon hopefully Andy"

"The Chapel Hill Duo is a pairing of two inspirational musicians, who will always give an outstanding performance. We are always delighted to host Sarah and Jaya at St Wulfram's, Grantham, and every time they have played at our events the standard has been impeccably high. They come very highly recommended!"

"THANK YOU very much for playing at our party, you sounded absolutely brilliant. We had loads of great comments, texts and FB posts from our friends and family about how good you, and all the other bands, were. We wished more people had got up to dance earlier on but sadly it takes people time and a few beers to get up and boogie!! The rest of the day and evening went really well thank you, thank goodness the weather was kind to us on the day! "

"Having seen Maria perform a stunning set at our annual Jingle Ball, I recently hired the band for a Key 103 listener party and the feedback from all guests was excellent. The selection of songs was spot on and the dance floor was packed, I wish I'd have asked for an extra 1/2 hour!! "

"What can we say about Eccentric Pony? Fabulous! Fun! Excellent vocals! Entertaining! Just great! These are just some of the words our guests, and we, used to describe them! Our Ruby Wedding Anniversary Garden Party was just a fantastic celebration made so much better with their performances. Communication before and during the event was second to none and nothing was a problem. We would highly recommend that you consider booking Eccentric Pony for your event - you will not be disappointed!"

"The Rag Tag Misfits performed at my daughter’s wedding. They proved to be an inspirational choice. Being only two people with minimal equipment they could perform anywhere. They popped up on four different occasions one outside the others inside. Not only did they play lively and catchy tuneful music which children and adults could dance or enjoy listening to, they provided various musical implements for general use. They were very accommodating to our requirements and provided a very happy atmosphere to the evening’s entertainment. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for any function"

"We booked Primed for a very last minute wedding do in our local pub. Considering they only had less than two weeks to learn our (many) requests we couldn’t believe how good they were. The dance floor was full& all our guests commented that they were the best band they’d seen in a long time also taking impromptu requests. Fantastic…"
