"I booked the quartet for my wedding ceremony as string instruments have always been our favourite. We couldn't be happier with the service we received. Everything flowed perfectly from being in contact with Sean about what pieces of music we wanted to how beautiful it sounded in the church. Our guests haven't stopped commenting on how special it made the ceremony and we're absolutely thrilled as it made our dream wedding complete. Thank you so much! "

"Soli Strings were absolutely perfect. They opened our wedding ceremony and accompanied it and our reception with the most beautiful music. As soon as they started playing the atmosphere was suddenly magical and they made it all seem effortless. On top of that they are wonderful people, we had people commenting all day on how nice they were and how well they played! Somehow they sound even better in person than their recordings. It was genuinely breathtaking on the day and they managed to fill an outdoor space with music easily. They performed two 45 minute sets and would absolutely recommend that as it flew by, we certainly wouldn't have wanted less! Thank you Soli Strings!"

"Sounds Interesting String Quartet played at our wedding ceremony on 1st October at St Chad Church and then at our reception at Stockton House afterwards. Not only was their music set fantastic throughout the day (playing both classical and more modern tunes) but they went above and beyond to ensure a special love actually style "All you need is love" performance in the church went off without a hitch!! Throughout the planning process Anne worked tirelessly to ensure everything went smoothly on the day and we could not recommend them more highly for any special occasion! "

"Dear Sue Thank you and your group Scherzando for playing at my son's wedding. It was a wonderful day, in a wonderful setting, at Lilleshall Hall in the Duke of Sutherland suite and the music was perfect. As you know, my new daughter-in-law is Brazilian and her family were quite blown away by the whole day, so very different from how a wedding is conducted in Brazil and the beautiful music that you provided, quite stunned them, and added a very 'English' touch. We were particularly grateful for the 'extra' pieces you filled in with, when the bride was fashionably, if a little alarmingly 'late'. Also the wonderful care you took in talking over their choices and advising them on what would work best, at what point in the ceremony. If anybody is seeking to add that little something extra to their Wedding day, then I would certainly recommend that they engage you to play."

"They played a beautiful selection of modern and classical pieces for my son's wedding over the May Bank Holiday - amazing! They were very professional and blended in nicely with the stately and somewhat regal ambiance of the occasion. I would certainly recommend them... they even take requests !"

"The musician was really talented however did not play the music requested so killed the entire vibe of the party. It was a party and we requested upbeat music alongside DJ but she used her own speaker and mellowed tunes... everyone obviously left the dance floor at this point and had to remind her of the request. She struggled with our requirements despite us being very specific on booking and even noted specific times on contract booking, did not fulfil contract and waste of £550"

Dear Hayley Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent event. I take all reviews seriously, as they help me improve my services, and I appreciate the opportunity to address some inaccuracies in your comments. The full fee you paid was £459, I understand that you felt the music selection did not align with the upbeat atmosphere you envisioned. However, I want to clarify that I arrived well-prepared with a curated playlist that included the specific tracks you requested, such as "Rebel Music" and "Ibiza Classics." Additionally, during our initial conversation, I offered to incorporate lively pop songs like "Havana," "Rather Be," and "Cheerleader" to enhance the party vibe. I left out your request to play Andrew Lloyd Webber/Starlight Express as I felt it didn’t align with the style of your event. Regarding the DJ sound levels, these were extremely loud throughout. I strive to maintain an enjoyable volume throughout my performances. While you noted that the dance floor, it was empty upon my arrival and throughout the ibiza classics with DJ last 30 minute set. I appreciated the positive feedback from many guests which indicates we’re enjoying my performances. As the event progressed, I was attentive to your requests, including the unexpected addition of a dhol drummer for the second set. I performed the "Morni" provided the Bollywood track to the DJ and performed alongside the DJ and which successfully energised the dance floor. I also addressed the issue with my electric violin volume being turned down by DJ immediately after he received feedback from guest complaining he couldn’t hear it! The booking was to perform 3x 30 minute sets I stayed on the dance floor except two 15 minute breaks and performed throughout the 2 hour duration. I made repeated requests to the DJ to play "Ibiza Classics," in line with your preferences, and I took swift action to address all requests throughout the night. The DJ consistently played track’s that were impossible for a violinist to play over such as Milkshake by Kelis. My goal is always to create memorable experiences for my clients, and I have consistently received positive feedback for over 20 years !

"It was a pleasure to work with Palatine String Quartet. They were easy to work with and specially arranged a score for me to enter down the aisle, which was absolutely beautiful and magical. My guests loved their music and they took their cues very well. Overall very happy with the service thank you Palatine string quartet!"
