"Top class performers. Professional but relaxed and so warm and friendly. Incredible and versatile voices and they knew just how to get the party started. Catherine is a total and utter delight - from communicating with her prior to the event right through to saying a final goodbye. Sassy, fun loving, beautiful inside and out and with a voice that sends shivers down one’s spine. I promise that if you are lucky enough to have Loose Shoes being available for whatever event you are planning you will be as thrilled and delighted as me. First class in every way. "Lucy and Jack were amazing at our wedding. Everything we could have hoped for. They were great at learning my song requests for the whole day. Very reasonably priced for the incredible service they provide. Intimate and happy atmosphere created by their beautiful voices and musical talents! Completely perfected the musical genres we wanted of modern country and pop, with couple of older songs too. For any brides out there I highly recommend Lucy and Jack, and to have live singer whilst walking down the aisle, it was one of the most memorable parts of my day. "

"Wow – what a band. Deeanee is an exceptionally talented singer. The were especially tailored for the event and we were up dancing or singing along to each and every one! A fantastic evening enjoyed by all and we would thoroughly recommend Country Bound – Midlands for a wedding, birthday anniversary or any event!"

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Judy and Jenny’s 80th Birthday Ceilidh – February 2026 We hired Black Velvet Band to play for our joint 80th birthday celebration at our local golf club. We had a big range of age groups present, and the band and the caller seemed to hit the right spot to get the whole party going! Everyone present thoroughly enjoyed the evening."

"Great time spent with Paddy James! His style of music seduced the whole audience, performing well-known songs but also songs from his own repertoire, in English and in French, engaging us to move and sing-along together. A real presence on the stage. We will definitely make use of his talent and services again! "

"Black Velvet Ceilidh Trio performed at a surprise party for my wife’s 60th Birthday recently. It was intended to be a function at which people could be fully involved and Boy! Did they do just that! I honestly cannot remember such a function where all of the guests were agreed it was an evening to remember that was also such fun. The whole success of the celebration came from the bands active participation and willingness to do everything possible to make the evening into a night to remember. That, they surely did. Thank you Black Velvet Ceilidh Band. You and the band made my wife very, very happy. She will not forget and neither will I. You are indeed very special musicians and very special people. May I wish you all well."

"James played at our wedding reception on the 22nd August 2023, he was absolutely incredible from start to finish! Everyone at the reception kept telling us how much they enjoyed his performance and how amazing he was. James was an absolutely perfect fit for our event, all the kids also enjoyed dancing along to the music, it was nice to see everyone enjoying the music and the atmosphere James created. We would very highly recommend booking James for any event you are planning, his voice is incredible and he is a genuinely lovely person."

"Both we and our guests loved Prairie Moon & they helped to make it a brilliant evening. They kindly learnt a few new songs for us, including for our first dance & they also involved us in picking the other songs, which was great. We were worried some guests might not like the country theme but did not need to. They received lots of compliments from impressed guests and we can thoroughly recommend them! "

"A fantastic night! We have seen them several times and they never disappoint. Best of all they are courteous, easy to deal with and very flexible around what we wanted. Perfect for all ages and have a wide range of music to keep everyone happy. Would 110% recommend."

"Rob performed at our son's Christening garden party and was absolutely fantastic. Given the change in weather, we decided very last minute to have a singer/guitarist perform and approached Rob the day before the event! He did a brilliant job and completely changed the atmosphere of the party. The 'Acoustic Jukebox' idea is great as guests were able to choose their own songs. Rob is very talented and we wouldn't hesitate to have him perform again for us in the future. It wouldn't have been the same without him - thanks Rob!"

"Just wanted to thank the Black Velvet Band for a really great evening last Saturday. They were excellent musicians and the caller was superb (very patient with the Danish contingent who took some time to get the hang of the instructions!) What I particularly appreciate is how considerate and adaptable the band was regarding my wishes. I had lovely time and have had a lot of positive comments from my guests."
