"Impressed with communication from initial contact through to day of the event. Wide an varied music selection of which we had a choice of selecting. Worked well with my schedule for my party and were agreeable to my plans but most importantly they played and sang some great songs and got the party going with a great atmosphere. Would absolutely recommend them and would use them again. Book them ! You will not be disappointed"

"I want to send the biggest thank you to the best ceilidh band I have ever had the pleasure of dancing to! Tom, Aaron and Scott were incredible from start to finish. Tom was great at responding to emails and organising everything. He even went out of his way to make sure he had the correct first dance song downloaded and so many little extras. I've been to many ceilidhs over the years and this was by far the best! As my husband is Portuguese, more than 50% of the wedding party had never been to a ceilidh before. Tom was fantastic at calling the dances and teaching everyone how to do it. There wasn't a single person sitting down and everyone loved it! We received so many compliments from our guests about how great the band were. Thanks so much to all of you for making our wedding night one to remember. I would recommend you to anyone!"

"I just wanted to take a moment and send you a note of thanks for the performance thatJock Rock turned in on July 1st at our daughter's wedding. We have all seen bands that simply mail it in and go through their sets as if they justwant it to be over with. The energy and enthusiasm that the band generated at our reception was simply infectious and you ignited the entire crowd into a wonderful frenzy. The Scots, Brits, Irish, Americans and others in our audience had the best time ever and couldn't tell us enough how much they loved your performance. But in addition to showing us that you are world-class entertainers, I was also very touched by your humanity. We are an extremely close family so in all candour it is sometimes difficult for me to have my daughter live across the pond where I don't get to visit with her as often as I can with her two sisters who live in the States. Her favourite song is Somewhere Over the Rainbow because it speaks to her in a very real way. We were disappointed when we learned that the band did not have that song on your playlist because we thought that it would make the Father/Daughter dance is so incredibly meaningful. One of the greatest surprises of the night was when we realized that you had taken the time to learn the song and played it for us for our dance. You took the time and effort to emotionally connect with the bride and her father on her special day and we can't thank you enough for that. "

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / 08/04/2023 / Ceilidh for Eastercon 2023 (Sci Fi enthusiast's convention) We had a fun-filled, joyous ceilidh, thanks to the amazing, talented Black Velvet Band.The band members are great fun. Alan had us laughing so much with his warmth and humour when calling the dances. The booking process was straightforward and professional. When I talked on the phone to Mike in advance, I was assured that these guys knew their stuff. When I requested non-gendered calling, that was no problem. The band are very versatile - they added a little Star Trek and Dr Who music, seamlessly, into the ceilidh tunes, to give us an extra-special thrill! "S Sgt Zoe Savage 5th Regiment Royal Artillery Brilliant Country and Western Band - I searched online for a band for our Country and Western themed summer ball, came across Knoxville Highway and listened to some sample videos they had online. They were exactly what I was looking for. On the night they arrived, they really put me at ease. They were friendly and cheerful and took the time to ask what our needs were for the evening.They played a variety of music to suit our event, even did some requests at the end. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and commented on how good the band was! Thank you to you all for making the night a great one. Would definitely recommend again. "

"We had a fantastic joint 30th birthday party for 60 people and the Black Velvet Ceilidh Band did an amazing job of making the evening a huge success! Mike gave me a call a couple of weeks prior to the event to confirm all arrangements such as timings, location, numbers, and the experience of the party goers (very mixed - lots of complete beginners). Mike was really enthusiastic on the phone and I felt very confident all was going to go well. At the beginning of the evening, we were pretty disorganized and neither James or I were there to meet the band on arrival, but our friend saw them into the venue and they were very flexible and happy to go with the flow and got set up really quickly. The whole band were keen to help and happily agreed to start the ceilidh a little later than planned, as well as letting me use the mic to make announcements! The 2 x 1 hour sets of ceilidh dancing were amazing and both the calling and music were fantastic - our guests absolutely loved every moment of it and have all said how much they enjoyed the music and dancing. Thank you very much to the whole band for an excellent evening, we would recommend you to anyone! "

"THANK YOU to Lucy and the boys for making our wedding the most incredible day EVER. They kept my guests entertained for the cocktail hour and the whole evening, played our first dance BEAUTIFULLY and kept the night going.
