"I found Mike very helpful when arranging the requirements for the party. The music was of a good standard and the caller was very good at getting people involved in the dancing. I would happily recommend the band to others."

"We cannot honestly thank you two enough for the beautiful performances on saturday and Sunday. You read the mood perfectly and sang towards it. It was your beautiful music and voices which really set the romantic mood of our wedding and it was truly an experience we will never ever forget. I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to "two young lovers" again without my eyes brimming with emotion!! Thank you so so much! You are a wonderful couple and we will never forget you! "Now that Zish and I are back from our honeymoon we wanted to say "Thankyou" yet again for the fantastic job you did on our wedding night. Zish and I both really enjoyed it, and loads of people have complemented us on our choice - you did a great job of getting people onto the dance floor. Even people who asked me if I was mad having a ceilidh turned around and told me how glad they were to have been proved wrong, and I know about 2 of the Irish guys surprised everyone by getting up to dance when normally they say "Over my dead body"! Some of Zish's colleagues suggested making ceilidh dancing a regular team event!"

Everyone enjoyed the music - it was perfectly gauged to the party and Mark was very easy to work with. All our guests commented on what an amazing talent he is. "Jamie was a complete professional and delivered our wedding songs beautifully. We asked Jamie to learn some songs that were personal to us and he didn't disappoint. He was honest and realistic with us to ensure that it met our expectations which was really appreciated as we all know how important it is to have that perfect wedding day. "We absolutely loved having Black Velvet Band play our wedding ceilidh at Clearwell Castle. My husband is from Scotland so we wanted a traditional Scottish ceilidh feel with some of the classics, and we were not disappointed! We had a good feeling about Black Velvet band from the moment we booked them - and sure enough, Mike and the guys were absolutely fantastic and made our evening party a huge success. The band were great and the instructions on the ceilidh dances were so helpful; even those of our party who may not have normally danced were up there loving life on the dancefloor. The fun and friendly atmosphere they created was just fab and so different from your ‘usual’ evening do. All our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the ceilidh and some said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We would 100% book the band again and recommend them to friends.
