"An excellent bash – the band were fantastic! Everyone got up and danced. The caller did a great job. If we have another Birthday Bash, we will definitely be booking the band again. I have no hesitation recommending them."

"Absolute band played at our civil partnership party and really brought a lively atmosphere! We all enjoyed the mix of traditional Irish tunes and classic hits, and they played songs to get people up and dancing. Particularly special was they learned specific songs for me to sing with them (as a surprise for my partner), and helped me with the singing which was much appreciated. They also played songs from their set list that we requested, which was great. The band members were really friendly and great to chat to. Thanks so much! Ro & Tom, Wedding in Bath – 9th July 2022 "

"The playing is very good and nothing here is standard fare. Crossing The Ocean is sure to please anyone looking for an album of Irish music that sounds a little different but is still firmly rooted in the tradition."

"We booked Ruby for Pary in the park Sat 31st July. She is a lovely talented lady, very professional and offers such a range of music, everyone loved her. She is an artist with bags of enthusiasm, vocally unique and outstanding. She looked amazing and had such a stage presence. 5 stars to this lady, she is not to be missed x "

"Steve, Geoff and Absolute Band were brilliant to deal with from start to finish. Really friendly people, superb musicians and ensured our dancefloor was busy all night. "St Patrick's night at the Old Fire House Exeter was electric last night. The Extonions were well on form and had the place buzzing. Mac on his green electric fiddle raced away with jigs getting faster and faster, I'm surprised his fiddle didn't catch fire. Mike sang in his sexy Hank Marvin deep gravel voice with a lovely Irish twang. That got the ladies swooning. John swapped with ease from 6 to 12 string guitar and kept up a driving beat together with fingers flying over the strings to create a magical sound. James maintained the foundation of the band with solid bass. The place was so packed it was like how many people can you get in a telephone box, they just kept pouring in. There must have been hundreds at the gig. Feedback said it was the best St Patrick's venue in Exeter that night and greatly down to The Extonions. I highly recommend you don't miss their next gig."

So sorry for this late reply but we have been busy. We loved playing there although mature talented experienced musicians the younger audience went wild and like you said thought it was the best St Patrick's Night Exeter in Exeter. Mac 🙂 🎨 🎻

"My birthday ceilidh was extremely enjoyable and the band played a large part in setting and sustaining a lively and very jolly atmosphere! It certainly wasn't hard to get people on their feet and dancing and Alan's calling was clear and simple enough to follow, though, of course, not everyone managed to do so absolutely all the time. A great and memorable evening. Many thanks to Black Velvet"
