"Mark was excellent and I would whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone looking to add a bit of live music to their party. Despite stepping in at the last moment (we only booked him the day before when our previous band pulled out), he communicated well, arrived promptly and set up with minimal fuss. He was very flexible regarding timings and judged his setlist and the crowd perfectly with some laid back numbers to start with and some more upbeat songs in the later sets. All this despite constantly being pestered by children to let them sing or to play their favourite song! We would happily book him again in an instant."

"As a discerning Aussie listener, I think Paddy is awesome. Great range of songs mainly covering the decades I like most pre 2000. He is a great compere, bit of a comedian. Mostly great musician who puts his all into the performance. Would definitely recommend booking him. "

"Huw was both an excellent act and a friendly, helpful person - he did not let the inclement weather stand in his way - quickly adapting to move indoors!! We would not hesitate to use Huw again when the opportunity presents itself. "

"Ruby is charismatic, with a charming patter, along with a vivacious singing style. She is a versatile singer with a wide repertoire, which allows her to gauge the audience and perform material that gets a good response. Guests were spontaneously singing and clapping along during our event. She is also very professional, arriving promptly and with quick set up of PA system. She is well presented, dressing for the occasion both at our event and at heritage events where she has also impressed. Highly recommended for Masonic Ladies Festivals, heritage attractions or anywhere that wants to put a smile on the audience’s faces and leave humming familiar tunes on the way home."

"Can't speak highly enough about Adam and Dhugal, a fantastic pair of lads who really made our engagement party/barbecue something to remember. They crammed their instruments into our little marquee we had set up due to the heavens opening, and whilst not ideal, it was not a issue for them. The music was great, the song selection was excellent (even with our slightly fussy tastes of nothing "too old"). We requested a song prior to the day that they had not heard, let alone knew how to play, and it was not a problem at all! They even played a few extra songs at the end because the guests really didn't want it to finish and there was definitely a few sore legs and feet the next day as well as a few sore heads. At a highly competitive price for such an experience, we wouldn't hesitate to book them again. "

"I recently booked a duo from the band to play at my mum’s wedding in Bolton. They were brilliant. I would recommend this group to anyone who wishes to make their wedding a special event and really liven up the evening. Don’t bother with a DJ, what a waste of money. There were only 40 people at the evening reception, but Shamus and Danny really livened up the group and got them up singing and dancing. I only wish I had another event up and coming, so I could book them again."

"My new husband and I hired Absolute Band a fortnight ago and they were simply amazing - we chose the 5-piece band because we wanted the fiddle for our Irish theme and it was the best decision! The dancefloor wasn't empty once and compliments from our guests came thick and fast about the band! They learnt our first dance really quickly and the whole night was a musical success. Honestly, hiring them was one of the finest choices we made Thank you to all the band members for making our wedding so memorable. I booked a 5 piece as I wanted a fiddle player, great musicians, Steve top singer, Luke the engineer was really kind and very helpful with a video link of Zac. "From the initial enquiry right the way through to the event, both the service and level of communication was excellent. Definitely highly recommend the service offered by LastMinuteMusicians. But, more importantly, Josh was absolutely amazing, and he soon had everyone singing along, clapping and dancing from the off. And bearing in mind our event was a small family gathering of around 30 people (in our garden) to celebrate our son's wedding, with an age range of 1 - 75 years, that was no mean feat ! Our small grandchildren really enjoyed every song and Josh responded amazingly by playing the songs that kept everyone dancing. It was so lovely to see them enjoying the live music, and we have lovely photos and videos to treasure. Thank you so much, you delivered on all counts"
