"Absolutely brilliant band and great guys. Great communication from start to finish. Learned our song for the first dance and did a beautiful job of that. Arrived on time and very patient and understanding as we had to start late. They created a brilliant atmosphere and the guests loved them. We loved them. Need another event so we can book them again! Thank you for making our wedding celebration so memorable xx "

"Ella Fitzgerald was born on 25 April 1917. She didn't have the easiest of starts to life - losing both parents and making a living on the streets as a teenager. She had hopes of becoming a dancer but had no training. What she did have was the gift of the smoothest, silkiest voice Jazz has known with the most delicate of touches - to hear Ella was to be kissed on the cheek by the lightest of breezes. Over her career she recorded 2,000 songs many of which are now Jazz standards - a fact in part due to the Fitzgerald imprimatur. Annette Gregory has a voice that is naturally lower in pitch than Ella’s and wisely she does not attempt a tribute act that imitates - rather her performance is a celebration of Ella’s legacy and the songs that will be sung and heard for as long as humans live on this planet. For this gig she was to have been accompanied by a quartet but unfortunately the bassist and sax player were caught up in a traffic standstill on the M6, but the piano (John) and drums (Matt) backing meant the stripped down support ensured that we focused on the songs. Just as Annette does not try to sound like Ella, neither does she slavishly follow her interpretations. This was strikingly apparent in songs such as “Miss Otis Regrets” and “The Man I Love” (which was more of a rocking blues than the familiar ballad). Annette's delivery is characterised by controlled, fluent and delicate phrasing and a pair of ballads - “When a Woman Loves a Man” and “Embraceable You” - were particularly pleasing. Let's hope that Annette and the full quartet make it back to Buxton soon! (10 / 10)"

"Couldn't recommend these guys enough! We booked Dave and his band for my mums 70th and they were fantastic ! Everyone loved them and they read the room really well (nice background music when people arrived then stuff for people to dance to). They brought all their own gear and only needed a plug socket, so setup was really smooth. And communication in the lead up was great - Dave was so friendly and helpful. Seeing my mum and dad dancing along to the music and having a great time was a real highlight - huge thanks to Dave and the band for an amazing night. Note, we had Dave on guitar and vocals, and someone on keys and bass - all top quality musicians."

"We hired Rachel to perform at a country themed hen party and she was fab. Everyone enjoyed singing and learning to line dance, Rachel even got the bride up to sing a duet. Rachel is very talented and was super easy to book, with clear information provided beforehand. Will definitely be booking Rachel for the next country themed party that we have! "

"Eccentric Pony were absolutely fantastic at our wedding. They sounded incredible, filled the dancefloor, and had everyone jumping around! Jimmy and the band are lovely people too, really friendly guys and were great in helping to create our setlist. I genuinely can't imagine how we could have had a better band at our wedding. We'll be recommending them to our friends and family - although they've been the ones already asking us where we found such a brilliant band!"

"Ma Bessie and her Blues Troupe played for us at our Community Charity fundraiser last weekend. Wow! What a soulful and sexy voice to go with a superb band! The band played in perfect harmony in less than perfect conditions and our crowd were thoroughly entertained. People were blown away with the quality of the performance, and many positive comments were made. Just book them!"

"January 29, 2025) UK based singer/songwriter Richie Sampson is a veteran of the soul music scene. When the legendary pop/soul band the Foundations (“Build Me Up, Buttercup”, “Baby Now That I Found You”) came back together with an updated lineup, Sampson was tapped as their lead singer. He also toured with legends from the Three Degrees to George McCrae as well as lead his own group, Soul Kinda Wonderful. Soul Kinda Wonderful’s new single, “You You (Are Everything),” is garnering spins and streams from Spotify to the now-temporarily resuscitated Tik Tok. The arrangement is rooted in 80’s retro pop/soul, accented by trademark synthesizer hits and anchored by the electronic rhythm section from that period. Sampson’s vocals are strong and assertive, which carries the song’s message to one’s love with great confidence. Overall, a very cheery number. Great to see artists such as Richie Sampson and Soul Kinda Wonderful bring the classic sounds from way back to the present day. Looking forward to more great music from them in the near future. "B & The Hornets band were amazing at last year's annual celebration. The booking process was so easy and they were a pleasure to deal with. The performance was absolutely fantastic, keeping everyone dancing and engaging the audience for the whole of the show duration. Thanks so much, we will definitely book you again for more events and would be happy to recommend the band, without hesitation. "
