"The Black Velvet Band provided us with a fantastic ceilidh for our wedding reception. They really got everyone up and moving, so much better than a boring DJ set. They were even accommodating to our more inebriated guests and explained the dance moves clearly. We had a wonderful time and would consider them again for future parties."

"Even though it literally was a last minute request, Sarah-Jane put me onto mira k duo who were absolutely fantastic, if you are looking for intimate and not over the top music at your event/party then I would look no further. After booking I was given their personal phone number and even offered to make my own playlist from their already substantial repertoire, think of seeing a band and you deciding on the set list! Thank you so much for making everything go smoothly and stress free. My partner had an amazing 40th"

"Black Velvet ceilidh band played at my daughter’s wedding on Saturday. Please let them know how excellent they were, and the evening was a great success greatly helped by the excellent calling, music and dancing. I have had lots of good comments from guests and would recommend them to anybody."

"It's No' Reel were absolutely fantastic! Without a doubt they are the best ceilidh band I have ever heard. They created a great atmosphere at our wedding by getting everyone up to dance with excellent calling and great music. All of our guests loved the ceilidh and I would recommend the band to anyone. "I booked Susie and Steve for my wifes surprise 50th party with around 130 guests. They were brilliant! Performed 2 sets at the time we needed. Got people up and dancing (always difficult) and some guests even took there number to book agagin. Great people - GREAT NIGHT! Thanks BigSkies :-) "

"Thank you to Rachel and Matt for two great sets. Everyone at the party seemed very impressed and sang/danced. They were just right for what we needed as it was only a small party, so they easily fitted their lights and sound equipment into our small marque. They played a good mix of songs to suit the suggested theme. I would highly recommend them. "
