"What a fantastic time my guests and I had last night! The Black Velvet Band guys certainly know how to get a party going and my guests and I responded in the appropriate manner. It was the BEST party I have ever been to – and several guests asked if we can have another ceilidh soon."

"Jock Rock were simply brilliant. Their music repertoire was right up my street and they learned our chosen first dance for us which was great. They played a great mix of ceilidh and rock / pop music which was just the right mix for the crowd - some bands don't have enough of a ceilidh repertoire, no problems with Jock Rock though.. They are lovely folk and I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a great band."

"Absolutely incredible! We can't thank Rob enough for helping make our wedding day so special, every single one of our guests have commented on how good amazing he was. Before the night Rob spoke with us to tailer everything to what we love, and then when the evening came he was absolutely fantastic! "Well! Where do I start? Whisky & Ginger were just incredible. I cannot thank them enough. Every single song was exactly what the crowd wanted, and they even played some of our requests (sorry there were quite a few!). People are still talking about how good they were a week after our party. We would recommend anybody who is in two minds about booking to do so. Worth every penny. We’ll defo be booking again! Thank you thank you thank you!"

"THANK YOU to Lucy and the boys for making our wedding the most incredible day EVER. They kept my guests entertained for the cocktail hour and the whole evening, played our first dance BEAUTIFULLY and kept the night going. "We can’t thank Rob enough, he just brought so much to our day and set the vibe. He was so accommodating and even offered to learn songs for us too! We loved it so much and so many of our guests commented on how great he was and how they loved making their own playlist in real time. It was such a great way to bring our guests together and get them all involved. We wish we could do it all over again! Thank you Rob, until the next party!"

"If you want a band that gets everyone up and dancing, book The Haystacks Band. My birthday party was a HUGE success and it was all down to these guys. Many guests commented on how great the band were. They added a couple of personal little touches too and we all did a led line dance. Absolutely fantastic, memories that will last a lifetime. "

"Just to say everything was perfect! After doing lots of research and searching for a band to play our wedding we struggled for months to find anything that would be anything near perfect and then I found Somerset Soul after watching their video I knew straight away that was the perfect band for the big day! I was absolutely thrilled when they were available as well. It really was the best day and the band just topped an already perfect day! They turned up on time and quickly got set up and ready. They started with a request that they learned in two weeks ( which was covered beautifully) and continued with a superb set. They were friendly and enthusiastic. Every guest at the wedding really enjoyed them. I couldn't rate the day any higher."

"The band were fantastic. They were professional, discreet and adaptable to everything that we asked of them. One of my favourite parts of the day was our first dance which they sang beautifully! We had so many compliments from guests about the band and about the song choices that they made, they were able to see what kind of music was popular and continued to get people up and dancing! They also played a fabulous acoustic set outside for us at our drinks reception which went perfectly with the relaxed feel of the afternoon. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and can't thank them enough for contributing to making our day so perfect."

"Wow - what a night! Andy and Chris did an amazing job and got everyone up and dancing. For the first set, we had the Blues Brothers tribute and for the second set we had the Ska tribute - really took me back! Danced until my feet hurt but loved every second of it. And when they had finished singing, Andy DJ'd the rest of the night. Really excellent job Andy and Chris. Can highly recommend these guys. Very entertaining and very professional. Our party guests haven't stopped talking about what a great night they had and it made Hubby's Birthday. Thanks again."

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Janet’s 69th Birthday Ceilidh – June 2025 Oh what a night it was! Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio was the perfect choice for a celebration. They chose dances that matched the skill and enthusiasm of my guests. Setting the right pace is good when lots of guests belong to a running club! Guests from Hong Kong, Greece, Vietnam China and USA had no idea what they were coming to … The band arrived on time, setting up easily and Phil’s friendly manner of instruction was just right. My 6 year old niece (who is VERY shy) shocked her mother by joining the dancing! Lovely comments from guests: “I haven’t danced like that in years” and ” The most fun and dis-organised chaos I’ve had in ages!"
