"Thank you so much for making our wedding the party of the year – everyone loved the music! Black Velvet Band Irish Trio played at our wedding reception and they were brilliant. I had worried whether people would want to dance to Irish music but I shouldn’t have. Everyone loved the music! We had a real proper Irish Hooley, with lots of dancing, singing-along and some humour in-between. As this was a marriage of cultures (English, Irish and Dutch) we were also touched that the band played a couple of traditional Dutch songs, allowing the Dutch to have a good sing-along as well. And when my dad asked if they could accompany him for a song to sing after his speech, it was no problem. The guys in the band are proper musicians who can play what the crowd needs to keep the party fuelled. The only complaint I have had is from my knees – which are still complaining, even after 4 days rest! Next time, I will wear trainers."

"You have to hire Open Freeway they are absolutely amazing! We hired them for our wedding and it was the best decision we made. Jake communicated with us the whole way through the process, he was ever so friendly, accommodating, easygoing and very knowledgeable. The band were all lovely and fitted in with our guests effortlessly. The music and singing were fantastic, they all had real stage presence and the energy was electric! Guests have not stopped raving about them ever since! They even learnt our first dance song and performed it so beautifully, we were so moved to hear our song played live just for us and done so so well. Open Freeway are fun, extremely talented and professional and they made our evening more wonderful than we imagined. Can't thank them enough for the energy and skill they brought. I cannot recommend them highly enough! Exceptional! Thank you from us and all our guests for an outstanding performance."

"Your repertoire of music was exactly as we requested. To please such a wide age range from 10 year old to 80 year old is some achievement. You also managed to include some songs that Bob and I requested !!! Lots of our friends and family commented on how they enjoyed the music. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend you. "Black Velvet Band Irish Trio - Cheltenham Gold Cup - March 2025 Absolutely brilliant band - everybody loved them! We booked the band to play at The Three Lions, Stourport-on-Severn on Gold Cup Day 2025 and didn't regret the decision. They came in set up and started playing straight away and immediately the dance floor was full. We were turning people away at the door as the pub was full to the brim! They played to the crowd and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves as well. "
