Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"We first came across the Wigornia at the Wedding Show at the NEC. At the time we never even considered a string quartet but after listening to them play at the show we decided it would be a lovely idea. Despite the very poor acoustics of the NEC hall and associated ambient noise they sounded great. On our wedding day they arrived early to set up and then started playing, wow! what a difference in the quality of sound due to the change in venue. A large number of our guests commented on the fantastic music the quartet played. Walking down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Cannon in D and back to Vivaldi’s Spring was more than a little emotional for not only us but also our guests. I would highly recommend The Wigornia String Quartet to anyone thinking of having a string quartet at their wedding. "

"Picking a band for your wedding is always nerve wracking, but without a doubt we couldn’t have picked a better group if we’d tried!! The music was spot on, the guys all looked the part (which went down perfectly with our tipi theme) and the dance floor was full! What more could you ask for?! We had the full band and, having not actually heard the demo beforehand, they exceeded our expectations. They also learnt one of the songs from the bride’s Dad’s glam rock days to surprise him which went down a storm! Communication leading up to the day was great and George even took the time out to come and find us on the day to chat in between sets! Don’t think twice! Book these guys, they are a fantastic group and we would have them again in a heartbeat!"

"We booked Lady Luck for our recent wedding in Brighton and we have had so many guests compliment us on the sound, style and professionalism of the band - the lead singer Keisher in particular was amazing, every conversation I had with her leading up to the day she always seemed very calm and knowledgeable and it felt like we were in good hands. Then on the actual day her singing and energy were amazing, the main thing people spoke to us about the day after was how great the band were - she walks around in the crowd as she sings and people really seemed to love that too as she connected with the audience so well. Thanks Keisher and team for a great day 😊"

"We chose this group to play at our wedding reception. It was important to us for our guests to have a good time and we wanted that dance floor full! We had previously seen them at their other gigs and were so impressed with how they got the party started and they sure did not disappoint. They play a mix style of songs to reach out to all age groups and our dance floor was full from beginning to end. The singer's voice is amazing, she just connects and engages with the crowd effortlessly. The lads play with such passion it was hard not to get up and dance! So many of our guests commented on how amazing the band were. We would 100% recommend this band."

"Soul Salad were perfect for our event! I’ve seen a lot of acoustic acts which sit in the background and struggle to get anyone’s attention - this isn’t the case with these two! They manage to create a huge sound (which you wouldn’t expect from just one guitarist and one singer) and really got the crowd dancing! I’d recommend Soul Salad to anyone looking for a great musical accompaniment for their event"

"My husband and I saw South West Band a few years ago at a friends wedding. We didn’t know anyone at the wedding, but we stayed on the dance floor all night , if it wasn’t for SWB, we’d have gone home! So when we got engaged we’re organising our wedding, we couldn’t think of a better reason to choose anyone else. Fast forward 2 years and SWB played at our wedding, the comments we have had from friends saying how they are the best band they’ve seen, and how much of a good party it was - it was a night to remember and we can’t thank them enough for being apart of it. "If you are still deciding whether to book Sax Life for your event, then just do it. They recently performed at our wedding and they were absolutely incredible, and they received so many compliments from all our guests. The energy they brought meant the dancefloor was always busy and the sax was so adaptable to all genres of music (from sean paul to earth wind and fire!).
