"Wow – what a band. Deeanee is an exceptionally talented singer. The were especially tailored for the event and we were up dancing or singing along to each and every one! A fantastic evening enjoyed by all and we would thoroughly recommend Country Bound – Midlands for a wedding, birthday anniversary or any event!"

"Kip and the blue jewel team were absolutely amazing. They got the whole crowd on the dance floor and everyone loved it, especially the ones with no experience of ceilidhs before! They were brilliant to work with and super flexible in the face of a delay in the schedule. Cannot recommend them highly enough! "

"I would totally recommend Wraggle Taggle Wraggle Taggle were professional, very accommodating, and went down a treat (9th February 2019 Saturday The King's Royal Hussars Officers' Mess, Tidworth Garrison, Wiltshire, SP9 7BB). They offered both amplified and non-amplified music and using their amplifiers were able to hold a full room of 90 loud and merry party goers. I would totally recommend Wraggle Taggle for any party or event and if the theme lent itself, I would, without doubt, use them again Best wishes Seb Teuber, The King's Royal Hussars 22nd February 2019"

"Thank you all so much for playing for our son’s wedding -  we have received so many complements on your playing and Jill’s calling. Even people who did not want to take part in the dancing said that they so enjoyed watching and listening to the music. Basically you wore most people out and they definitely faded when the disco came on, but we soldiered on until midnight! "

"I took my Fiancé to a Blackbeard’s tea party gig in York with a view to see if he would like them to play at our wedding. As soon as they started playing, the place was bouncing and our decision was made. When they played at our wedding reception, we were not disappointed; they were so much fun, all our guests had an absolute ball! Be warned, put your dancing shoes on, because you will not stop dancing! They are just too scrummy to miss!"

"We had a great night. They certainly made us exercise and it was sooooo hot! Everyone really enjoyed themselves - there was lots of laughter. Unfortunately, it is apparent that we are quite uncoordinated!"

"The booking process was easy and flawless, I particularly liked being able to ring and talk to the agent. Dermot and his friend are very talented and made the wedding. They played Irish ballads through the meal and then burst into Irish jigs after the first dance. Dermot was flexible and worked well with our DJ. I will love to book him again at some point."

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / Multicultural Ceilidh / May 2025 Many thanks to Black Velvet for the fab barn dance for my husband’s 60th. We set them the challenge of providing all-age, muslim-friendly dances for a multicultural community; Our guests included friends and neighbours from Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Somalia, South Africa and Cameroon. Mike and his band rose to the occasion with single sex sets, non gendered calling, and a clever choice of dances (including one with no physical contact at all!). We were so impressed with the attention to detail that enabled everyone to take part. Here are quotes from two of our younger guests: “That was the best evening of my whole life,” Radman, aged 8 “Please can you invite me to your next birthday party when you are 61,” Rayan, aged 8"

We love country so having Country Bound – Midlands was just the perfect end to our wedding celebration so thank you so much. I cannot recommend the band enough – you will not be disappointed."

"Blue Jewel played at our wedding two weeks ago and they were absolutely fantastic. They were the highlight of the wedding party for us and for many of the wedding guests. Lots of people joined in with the energetic music. Clear instructions for the dances made it easy for everyone to join in. Apart from how fun the celeidh itself was, the thing that we appreciated most of all about Blue Jewel - and the thing that stands out about them - is that it was so easy and stress-free to organise. A couple of emails prior to the wedding to confirm timings and cost (which was very reasonable), and then they turned up on time, were very polite and flexible about us running late with the rest of the wedding, played brilliant music and got everyone up dancing. There was no fuss or stress whatsoever. Absolutely brilliant. We would recommend Blue Jewel to anyone. "
