" We hired the Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for a party, and we could not have been happier with their performance. The band’s admin team reached out prior to the event to make arrangements, and communication was maintained throughout. Set up was quick and efficient in the background of our event, and before we knew it, we were forming lines for our first Ceilidh. It was a mixed group in terms of experience, but Phil delivered clear instructions prior to each dance, and everyone quickly picked it up. The trio are all exceptionally skilled musicians, and the music throughout the dancing was fantastic. We booked two hours of dancing and found that to be the perfect amount of time post-dinner. Black Velvet Band created a fun and lively atmosphere at our event and the Ceilidh dancing was enjoyed by all. We will definitely be in contact with the band for future events and would recommend them to all."

"The event was a huge success, the band arrived in plenty of time to set up and entertained early guests with background music before the main event. They managed to get all our guests up and dancing - I have never been to a dance where the men had to dance together - but they were all so keen to join in. I would have no hesitation to book through LMM again, and Craigi Ceilidh band would be my first choice."

"Each year our section hold a rally. Each year we visit a different location alternating between the UK and Europe. It was my turn to organise a weeks rally in the UK, and I chose the Two Bridges Hotel near Princetown as our base. We needed some form of entertainment for our Gala Night. Our group are in the in main middle fifties and some over eighty so the last thing we need was a rock group. I had some opposition when I suggested a Folk group but I prevailed and have to say that tracking down a band was in the area was extremely difficult. Typing a search in Google for local folk groups resulted in names almost everywhere except in the West Country. Eventually I contacted Blue Jewel and Steve convinced me that they could adapt to our needs. Every single person enjoyed the groups performance, there were 62 people there and almost every single one said how much they enjoyed the group. As the organiser I was greatly impressed by the way they accommodated our requirements and we had a brilliant night. Thank you Blue Jewel Chris. "Kip and his Ceilidh band performed at our wedding 30 years ago and proved the perfect choice for getting everyone involved, whatever their age, shape or size! Family and friends talked about the dancing for years after. There was simply nobody else to consider when we returned to Cornwall to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Once again, the dance floor was packed, some with a modicum of timing and coordination. Others with absolutely none. We all had the best time. If you want everyone involved and loads of fun, look no further than the Blue Jewel Ceilidh band. Thanks Kip. "

"Kip and his band are brilliant, this is the second time we have booked them and we certainly weren’t disappointed. Super easy to book, with clear communication. Kip and his band managed the combination of small children and tipsy adults extremely well. We loved the special dance for us the bride and groom! All dances were different and fun. Highly recommend 👍🏼 "

"Just a quick note to thank you for playing at the wedding of my daughter Emma and Nathaniel's wedding on the 29th December at the Old Swan Hotel. Iam sorry that I was unable to catch you on the evening and express my thanks as the ceilidh capped a wonderful day. For many of the guests this was their first experience of a ceilidh as we had guests from Australia, Japan, Switzerland and Canada. They/we loved it and you made the dance routines very clear with your instructions. Those that could no dance really the live music. Please pass on my gratitude to the other musicians. "Thank you for a great gig in Brierley Hill last night. Really enjoyed the diverse range of country music you played versus the safe "country's greatest hits" that a lot of touring covers bands play. Also really enjoyed the variety of rotating vocals and instruments. Top class, so, once again, thank you."
