"Hi Davie, We would like to thank you again for playing at our wedding last week - the ceilidh was incredible! We had an amazing time and our guests had an amazing time too. We were impressed with how The Shooglers enthused the many German guests with the spirit of ceilidh dancing, even though none of them had ever seen anything like it before! So many of our guests mentioned to us afterwards how much fun they had at the ceilidh too so many, many thanks! You guys are great! "

"Great choice of material. Mat Walklate’s harmonica playing is astoundingly proficient throughout and Matt Fahey’s vocal take on My Bonny Boy Is Young is a stand out track. It gets my vote for album of the year."

"The ceilidh was a great success (31st December 2013 Tuesday Goldsmith's College, Lewisham Way, New Cross, London SE14 6NW) the orchestra really enjoyed themselves! Please pass on my thanks to Wraggle Taggle for all they did - they were marvellous. If our residency is back at Goldsmiths next year, we'd love to have them back, but I'm afraid we don't know what we're doing until the last minute. I'll certainly be back in touch if we need a band for our Spring/Summer residencies though! Thanks again Ben Salter, Head of Support, National Youth Orchestra 20th January 2014"

"For a small band Rastrum packs a big punch. We asked them to play in the evening at our first 'All Staff' event, as someone had suggested a ceilidh could be a good way to get everyone together. It certainly worked and, although dancers were tentative to start with, by the end of the session virtually the whole group was involved. First rate playing, patient guidance on what to do (as 80% of attendees had never done this before) and a good vibe all round. A really fun and memorable evening was had by all."

"Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio / 08/04/2023 / Ceilidh for Eastercon 2023 (Sci Fi enthusiast's convention) We had a fun-filled, joyous ceilidh, thanks to the amazing, talented Black Velvet Band.The band members are great fun. Alan had us laughing so much with his warmth and humour when calling the dances. The booking process was straightforward and professional. When I talked on the phone to Mike in advance, I was assured that these guys knew their stuff. When I requested non-gendered calling, that was no problem. The band are very versatile - they added a little Star Trek and Dr Who music, seamlessly, into the ceilidh tunes, to give us an extra-special thrill! "It's No Reel were absolutely fantastic! Tom made all of the pre-wedding arrangements very easy and he was very accommodating with our timings and choice of first dance. They were absolute pros from the start, the set up was seamless and they really had an amazing sense of the room and how to engage everyone. The music itself was fantastic and really filled the room creating such a wonderful ambience for the rest of the evening. We had guests that had never been to a ceilidh dance before and they loved it and found the instructions really easy to follow. We really enjoyed the little quirky Michael Jackson tribute in one of the dances and some of the interesting variations of the dances we had never done before. The mini disco at the end was also brilliant and completely on point with the music I had suggested. We would highly recommend It's No Reel!"

"Patrick stepped in last minute to play at our wedding on 9th July 2016 and was absolutely incredible. Exceptionally talented, professional and a true gent. He even donned a cape to play outside as our guests arrived in the pouring rain. I would highly recommend Patrick to anyone for any occasion!"

"I’d just like to say a massive thank you to Dave, Mike and Gerry who form BM Ceilidh Band. This is the third event that we have booked them for and once again it was a massive success. They are always reliable and turn up on time. They set up the equipment with no fuss and are very adaptable to any type of event whether it be a Burns Night, a Ceilidh, a Wedding or a Birthday Party. Dave is incredibly patient at giving instructions to those who are novice dancers and even goes out onto the dance floor to help people with the dance steps. They cater for all abilities, young and old! Dave encourages people to get up to dance without being too intrusive and has a good sense of humour which makes people laugh and enjoy the night. Everyone who has been to our events where BM Ceilidh Band have played have thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have always been very positive about this band. I would certainly recommend the BM Ceilidh Band for any occasion and will be booking them again in the future."
