"Ceili Max put on an exceptional night for us. The piper and whistler set during the ceremony was beautifully delivered, with a few tears in people's eyes before the wedding was even fully underway. The star of the show was the Banghra Ceilidh. Tad and the rest of the band did a fantastic job keeping the Banghra element a surprise for my Bengali wife who was utterly delighted with Jeevan's reveal. The sound of both elements in combination for the first time was sublime and raised the atmosphere in the room to another level. I never thought we'd have more than a third of our guests up dancing; yet within the first couple of songs our caller had managed to draw what seemed like nearly every guest up, putting their best foot forwards with huge smiles all round. Simply put, Ceili Max injected a massive dose of fun into our special day- we'd book them again in a heartbeat."

They were so professional and diligent in their preparation before the event and amazingly unobtrusive as they set up and took all their equipment down. Their sets were inspirational and dynamic and got everyone of all ages on the dance floor! Great variety and great rhythm. The different musical skills of all their band members were hugely complimentary and they helped make our evening very memorable. The lead singers were charismatic and magnetic. "Paddy provided the entertainment for a members night. The two sets went down an absolute storm and it felt like he had tuned right into the crowd and what got them on the dance floor. It was more than just great songs, his sense of humour shone through talking to the crowd between numbers. Highly recommend and we will be booking him for future events."

We had lots of guests unfamiliar with Ceilidh dancing, but their Ceilidh Calling was so patient and clear; they ensured even the most uninitiated could have a great time. We really appreciated their efforts to keep the floor full of dancing! "

"We are so grateful to Black Velvet Ceilidh Band for their last minute flexibility in playing for our wedding! We moved the wedding forward by a month to beat the lockdown and the band not only made themselves available on the new date, but also changed the style of music with just 3 days notice! Firstly their contactability and organisation was brilliant, making the booking and discussions with them hassle-free. Ceilidh would no longer have been appropriate, so the guys played a mix of Irish songs and jigs and reels. The music they provided was fantastic, creating the most beautiful atmosphere for the milling around and photo time between ceremony and reception. They were inconspicuous but added so much. Would definitely recommend them (and their versatility!) for any event.’"

Their energy is amazing and had the dance floor full for the entire day and night. We've had so much positive feedback about the band from our wedding guests...which is 100% deserved. "Ceilidh With Us were amazing! We hired them for a post wedding celebration party and they were everything we wanted them to be. Super helpful in all the contact in the run up to the event and made us feel very relaxed. On the day they could not have been nicer and were super flexible/helpful.
