"We booked Funk With Us for our wedding in October and wow, it was the best decision ever!! The music and dancing part of the wedding was so important for us and SWU absolutely smashed it - so much energy from start to finish - we (and our guests) never left the dancefloor. It exactly what we'd hoped for and dreamed of... especially after 2 postponements! We loved being able to choose our favourite music from the SWU repertoire - which Lilac then transformed into the perfect setlist for our party. After the wedding, so many of our guests commented on how amazing the band was - and its the music makes the party!! Huge thank you to Lilac and Remko for everything."

"The Rejigged Ceilidh Band played for our wedding a couple of weeks ago at High Rocks and they were absolutely wonderful! The talented band performed for us an incredible Scottish Ceilidh and dressed accordingly! The music was superb and the caller made the dance easy for all our wedding guests to follow! We even received a congratulations on our wedding card from the band! Their communication was superb, the music remarkable and we cannot recommend them more highly! Thank you Rejigged!"

"No one talks about our wedding without mentioning the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band. These talented musicians provided the perfect end to the perfect day. Somehow everyone, even the shyest of our guests, got up and danced the night away with the infectious enthusiasm of the band. The ceilidh provided a relaxed, fun way for all of our guests to mix and meet one another, and allowed us to dance with everyone! Both myself and my husband adore folk music, and we could not have chosen a friendlier, more talented band than the Blue Jewel Ceilidh Band. A particular highlight was when the band performed a traditional wedding piece, where all of our guests danced around us who were sat in the middle! I cannot recommend this band enough, wonderfully warm people with superb talent. Obviously we were on a budget paying for a whole wedding, but these guys are very reasonably priced and deliver much more than the price we paid. Thank you all very, very much for giving us the wedding reception we dreamed of."

"We had these guys at Drimsynie Estate Holiday Village for New Year, and I cannot rate them highly enough! Made my job easier, allowed me to mingle with the guests, and make their night a little bit better. Very professional on stage, had the dancefloor filled all night long, I don't know how the dancers danced or as long as they did! If you are humming and hawing about booking these guys, just do it, you won't regret it!"

"The perfect choice for our annual summer fete (6th September 2025 Saturday Arlington Square, London, N1}. Mick & Co entered into the spirit of the event and kept everyone happy with a great mix of music. They were so popular that numerous people have already demanded that we book them for next year's fete... Many thanks again for providing the music for our Fete. I've heard nothing but compliments about the band. It's a bit early for that, but the Fete is always the first Saturday in September, so you might want to pencil in 5 Sep 2026 for a possible gig. We haven't done all the sums yet, but it looks like this year's affair broke all records when it came to fund-raising – over £5,000 to be shared between three local good causes! I'm sure the good vibe generated by yesterday's music encouraged the crowd to be generous. Please pass on our warmest thanks to Carlene, Caroline and Mick. I look forward to seeing you all again. "This is the second time we have booked the Black Velvet Band for our summer ceilidh, and it was such fun! The band ran two different dancing sessions for our international students and were very patient with explaining the dances and encouraging all students to participate. The music was brilliant and energetic, and all three band members were so kind and even paused for a photoshoot with the students. We are looking forward to next summer already. I’d absolutely recommend them for any event/party/celebration!"
