"Blue Jewel played for us at a birthday party, they were 'toe tapping amazing'!.... Friendly guys and very professional. We had any guests asking the name of the band and complementing us on the choice of music. Would DEFINATELY reccomend and book again. Thanks boys."

"Davie, At last I am getting a minute to thank you and the guys for an excellent evening playing at our Silver Wedding at Meldrum House. The music was fabulous, everything we expected and more! All our guests have been telling us how much they enjoyed the band, even those not energetic enough to dance say that they very much enjoyed listening to you play. We were well and truly shoogled and I know I wasn’t the only one with aching muscles the next day! Great fun, thanks for helping to make our special occasion a huge success, we all had a fantastic time. The only complaint we had was that the party finished too soon!"

"Rosie's playing was a great contribution to our big day! Everyone commented on what a lovely touch it added. With a combination of some of our favourite songs intermingled with a beautiful selection of classical pieces, she turned a great day into a perfect day. She is a real sweetie to deal with as well!"

"Although I was busy with guests and getting tea and supper ready, what I heard for Francis and Janet was absolutely lovely. The guests who were enjoying tea in the garden , listening and watching them said just how much they enjoyed it and how beautifully they played. So a big thank you.."

"Thank you guys for making our wedding day so special. The barn dance was brilliant! We all loved it and we have had so many comments about how good the barn dance was and what fun everybody had. I do wish we had booked you for longer, but then also wish it had not rained. .Thank you so much again, and if you could pass our comments on to the other guys. So many people said it was the best wedding ever and that was helped by you guys."

The night was a huge success and that was largely in part of yourselves. You received loads of compliments from our guests and a number of people have asked for your details so safe to say you were a hit! "Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – Georgina’s Wedding Ceilidh – July 2025 The band were a great edition to our wedding party event. They arrived on time and had no issues setting up independently with minimal direction from us as hosts. They gave good directions in terms of getting us started with a first dance, and set the tone for the two sets they played perfectly – giving great instructions to the mostly complete novice crowd present, with a good dose of humour alongside. Everyone there from small children through to retirees was able to participate. I wouldn’t hesitate to book them again for a future event, or to recommend them to others."
