"The band were absolutely first class and they had the dancefloor going all night. They even let one of the guests do her songs during the interval which was amazing too. Would definitely book them again and recommend them to anyone wanting to put on a top party. Thanks alot guys. Great equipment, great musicians, great sound and top music choice, we loved it."

"Oh, what a night I had to remember on Saturday. (11.9.2021) Sound with Us came to do a Ceilidh for my big birthday bash and provided a disco for afterwards. They were just out of this world and had everybody up dancing or jigging along in their seats. Their sound quality and musicianship were first class and the caller, who had the biggest task keeping everyone in check, did a magnificent job. My guests were in fits of laughter and he was so patient with us and eventually managed to guide most of us through our paces. I’ve had so many messages since, asking where I had hired such a good band from. Sincere thanks to all the band Fran xxxxx"

"Paul was recommended to us by a former colleague. He provided a strong three-piece band to lead a ceilidh at our wedding reception. For an intergenerational group of mixed-ability dancers (including some with no ability) he was encouraging, clear in his verbal instructions, and the band uplifting and rhythmic. Just about everybody participated in the dancing at some point or another in the evening, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Communication with Paul at all stages was straightforward and easy, and I would heartily recommend him and his ensemble should anybody be considering commissioning a ceilidh!"

"My husband and I were delighted with Blue Jewel who recently played at our wedding reception. Kip was quick to reply to all communications, relaxed at the event (we were running 15 mins behind), and was fantastic at making guests feel involved by learning names and getting the children to do a demonstration. He also followed my request to have a last dance to say goodbye to our guests. It was just what we wanted. Thank you Kip and Co! "

"Funk With Us played at our wedding this weekend and they were absolutely FANTASTIC! High energy, super helpful and just a pleasure to work with, we cannot recommend them highly enough! Lilac and Remko both spoke with us in advance to get to know us a little better and find out more about the type of music we were interested in. Lilac gave us a call in the lead up, was available via whatsapp and was just generally super helpful. On the night of our wedding the dance floor was always filled with everyone singing and dancing along and having a really great time! So, so, so pleased we booked Funk With Us, thanks for making our wedding evening so awesome! Thanks Lilac, Remko and the rest of the band! "

"Working with Lyra Strings was an absolute pleasure. After reaching out to LIPA for musician recommendations, Lyra Strings responded quickly with video samples and her bio. As the only solo musician at the event, Lyra Strings had a demanding schedule with multiple 1-1.5 hour performances. Despite this, she delivered flawless performances that created a beautifully relaxed and intimate atmosphere for our Cream Tea Experience. Since the event, we’ve received so many lovely comments from visitors who were impressed by her music. I would highly recommend Lara for any occasion that calls for a sophisticated and elegant musical touch."

"Thank you so much for making our wedding the party of the year – everyone loved the music! Black Velvet Band Irish Trio played at our wedding reception and they were brilliant. I had worried whether people would want to dance to Irish music but I shouldn’t have. Everyone loved the music! We had a real proper Irish Hooley, with lots of dancing, singing-along and some humour in-between. As this was a marriage of cultures (English, Irish and Dutch) we were also touched that the band played a couple of traditional Dutch songs, allowing the Dutch to have a good sing-along as well. And when my dad asked if they could accompany him for a song to sing after his speech, it was no problem. The guys in the band are proper musicians who can play what the crowd needs to keep the party fuelled. The only complaint I have had is from my knees – which are still complaining, even after 4 days rest! Next time, I will wear trainers."

"What a fantastic time my guests and I had last night! The Black Velvet Band guys certainly know how to get a party going and my guests and I responded in the appropriate manner. It was the BEST party I have ever been to – and several guests asked if we can have another ceilidh soon."
