"We were delighted with the Black Velvet Bank Ceilidh Trio. The music was excellent and the guidance on how to do the dancing was just right as we had a mixture of people, some with a little experience, others with no experience."

"Hello!, You played at our wedding at the Ghillie Dhu on 6th October. Just wanted to thank you so much for the amazing music which created such a buzz and atmosphere that I'll never forget!! You were absolutely fantastic and the talk of the day. All of our guests including the ones who admitted that they "hate a ceilidh", all said you were absolutely amazing and the by far the best ceilidh band they had ever heard. "Where do I start. An absolutely fabulous night, everybody thoroughly enjoyed it and nothing but praise for the band and the performance. Jake's enthusiasm as caller and his patience made everyone feel at ease and you have a roomful of ceilidh converts. Thank you again to the lads for being such a huge part of a wonderful night."

"Blue Jewel were a delight to have at our wedding, that I would recommend to everyone. Kip was excellent at his organisation and the whole thing was hassle free. We wanted a ceilidh to get everyone dancing together and the sets by Blue Jewel were perfect, with a range of different dances, tunes beautifully played with moves called, and lots of enthusiasm. It was a delight and everyone loved it! Thank you so much! "

"Well, we went along to the Clutha benefit gig in The Classic Grand, there were such a choice of great bands to choose from on 2 floors, The Mrs & I were downstairs as it was mostly rock bands and we had a seat, so the bands changed again & again until I heard the next band was a Ceilidh band, quite a few were looking around sort of laughing as if how’s this gonna fit in with the night, so there's now quite a few people sitting down waiting, so on comes as expected the usual accordion, fiddle,drummer & guitarist set up, and then it began, the accordion started then in came the fiddle then this electric rock guitar and ass-kicking rock drum beat, and low and behold before you know it everybody's on their feet standing poking their heads up and down to see who the hell was making this amazingly blended sound of rock & Scottish folk, the accordion player’s fingers were impossible to track as they rolled up and down the board, and the fiddle was just about glowing to match, topped off with a great guitar and drums, with bits of Pink Floyd through to Miley Cyrus flung in, hard to believe but true, and all served up for your ears to savour at 100 mph, the whole place became electric, it was amazing to listen to and stunning to watch, I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed this band, We got talking to David (the accordion player) and his family afterwards and found him such a laugh & such a nice family, highlight of the night, so thanks to The Shooglers your time & talent is very well spent and it shows cheers. "

"We booked Ceilidh With Us for our wedding and we were so happy with them! Lilac, the band manager, was great with communication in the run-up to the wedding - very responsive and understood what we were looking for. The band on the day were fantastic and all our guest had an amazing time! Many of them particularly commented on how impressed they were with our caller Nell who did an awesome job in teaching all the dances to such a big crowd of us :)"

"We had a joint 50th & 80th birthday party. Black Velvet were fantastic. Great musicians and made the Barn dance run smoothly. We had ages from 5 to 80 and they tailored everything perfectly. Made it a birthday to remember."
