Review Centre: Covers Bands

"The most interactive and engaging event band I have ever seen perform. Their energy and creativity truly did steal the show on our big day, where they choreographed an off the cuff dance off between myself (the groom) and my younger sister, had a dance and sing-a-long with my new young nieces, and roped the photographer into a rap-skit, as well as packing out the dance floor all night. A night that will live long in our hearts and memories. Thank you Floodlight!"

"It all went wonderfully . The band were professional , friendly and great performers from start to finish . We really enjoyed having them and hopefully they enjoyed the day too . They got people dancing and the music was varied and upbeat which is what I asked for . There were 4 generations at the party and the music catered for all . ( I did stop my step grandaughter and her friends trying to change the between sets music to rap ... so all was good , but we did have to submit to some of it at 1 a.m . ). The band members were all friendly and approachable and they were fantastic . Alison .. would recommend and have them again x"

"Thank you Newland Seekers for your fabulous performance at the weekend. There are very few bands who can tweak songs and perform them so that they are better than the originals. You guys certainly managed this. My daughter still can't believe that you turned King of the Swingers into a dance track. It was very impressive. You did a great job battling against the searing heat and the reverberating walls. Your audience outside in the cool air were tapping their feet to the music, which they all said they enjoyed very much. Thank you so much, I'll keep a look out for you at local music events and will come and say hello next time I see you performing"

We fully appreciate how you stepped in at the last minute and were so professional working around our timings. The acoustic set was an added bonus for us and set the tone perfectly. The evening set was then brilliant! It did exactly what we wanted by getting so many people on the dance floor, and keeping them there! "The band were booked for the wedding reception of my son and new wife. The guys were brilliant, music was excellent, they were very smartly dressed and so pleasant to deal with. From the initial booking of the event I was kept updated, the manager Gary responded straight away to any queries I had. Overall a very professional band. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Price wise, they were also one of the best and charged only half of what other bands quoted."

"James has Excellent Vocals and really great energy’s Everyone loved it and James was brilliant at engaging the audience. I have also seen the JJs band live at a live music venue and they were fab. They have great energy and there is so much talent between them! Their original tracks are catchy and they absolutely nailed the cover songs. I would definitely recommend James for his solo acoustic set, providing you with a mix of chilled and upbeat songs with strong vocals. He has the ability to keep you entertained throughout the night. Or, you could hire the JJs band if you want the energy to be buzzing and enjoy some really amazing electric guitar solos."

"We work in music and Fresh Grooves were our choice for our wedding day band - and we weren't disappointed! In fact, we were delighted! All the way from the afternoon acoustic set to the evening party, they were note-perfect and made lots of the songs sound even better than their originals! "The Electric Lights were absolutely fabulous! Very professional but friendly band, they performed amazingly, especially with the weather conditions causing some technical issues. All of the guests at our wedding loved them , they sung our first song beautifully and the dance floor was occupied all night! We have recommended them to so many people, and both us and our guests keep raving about them! Could not have asked for a better band! Perfect!"

"We saw the pocket rockers the Saturday before Christmas - great band! The songs were a great mix and all fantastic and got everyone up singing and dancing, from toddlers to ninety year olds! They even sang a few Christmas songs to get everyone in the holiday spirit! Would definitely recommend booking them for parties and weddings!! Plus their version of Johnny B Goode is awesome!!"
