"Dearest Sarah- Jane and the boys Thank you so much for playing at our wedding. It was perfect. Everyone has been talking about it. Honestly, it was so hot but was perfect because it turned the room into a ‘Speakeasy’. It was brilliant and people were chatting away and just having the best time. Apart from my little nieces who loved dancing with you all. It really was the best day and I hope you all got back safely and had a great time. Thank you. "

"The grand central trio are a brilliant band to work with. Never late (always early), highly professional, polite and all round a top bunch of guys, as a business owner I couldn’t recommend them more highly. The jazz they play if absolutely brilliant and our guests always love their sets, and we are always fully booked when they come to town. "Tzigauners played at our wedding reception in London recently - they were brilliant! their music was perfect and really completed the atmosphere for the evening. The band as a whole were friendly, approachable and flexible on the day which was much appreciated. Alex who we contacted initially, was very professional, quick to respond and very easy to talk to, which are really valuable qualities when planning such a big event. I'd definitely recommend them. "

"Delightful Sottish jigs and reels from Sue and Mike combined excellent calling from Henry had everyone on the dance floor, reeling into the small hours. We shall be booking the band again next year. "

"We had a joint 50th & 80th birthday party. Black Velvet were fantastic. Great musicians and made the Barn dance run smoothly. We had ages from 5 to 80 and they tailored everything perfectly. Made it a birthday to remember."

"We had The Tzigauners play as a trio at the drinks reception of our wedding this summer (2017) - and I am so glad I made the decision to have them perform. The music and resulting ambience was exactly what I wanted. Alex, our contact, was excellent in coming back to me with email responses to my questions before the event and came across as very relaxed and happy to go with the flow on the day, which calmed me down a lot. Would thoroughly recommend for any event. "

"Here at Heart events we love The Misophone Collective. They played in our cafe on Tuesday night 30 April and they were amazing, we would welcome them back anytime. They started off with some Django Reinhart style numbers, playing in particular to the strengths of the 2 violins. In the second set they moved into a European gypsy theme getting more and more hectic and lively. The audience loved them and were up clapping and dancing- almost dancing on the tables! "

"Well what can I say. It was perfect. The three guys were the perfect start to a 40th birthday party celebration (that ended at 4am!? They were friendly and professional plus excellent musicians pitching the right music at the right time ending the sets with the party on their feet dancing. "Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio – James and May-Kate’s Wedding Ceilidh – April 2026 We enjoyed having Black Velvet at our wedding party to play two sets of Ceilidh dancing. The guests thoroughly enjoyed dancing to the music after being taught the dances. Even our four year niece joined in with some of the dancing! The band were prompt to set up and we enjoyed the live music. James Battle-Matthews"

"We had the Kemptown Hot Club performing during an informal but very important dinner with prestigious guests. All the members are very talented as well as extremely kind and friendly. They tried their best in especially difficult circumstances, for sure their participation, patience and incredible great mood really made the difference in our event."

"We’ve had really positive feedback from the event and it was a lovely family day. There were approximately 800 residents that came along and enjoyed the entertainment . The band were great and kept in contact with me throughout the day to see if what they were offering was suitable for the event. I was out and about taking photographs of the event and saw several residents having a dance to the brass band or clapping away to the tune. Overall we were really pleased with the entertainment provided and the band were all lovely."
