"These guys were just amazing. We had a four piece for 2 sets of 2 hours at our wedding celebration in July 2022 and they were absolutely perfect. So many of our guests commented on how great they were. One of the things we looked for in a band was true musicality and they delivered on that in every way - they are first and foremost great musicians. Their repertoire is huge and they were really proactive in gathering information to make sure they played the most suitable tracks for us, the playlist they provided for between the sets went down really well with everyone, and they were easy to contact and make plans with before the event. "The Four Kicks were amazing. From the first email about the day, to packing up at the end of our wedding, they were absolutely brilliant. So many of our friends and family said how amazing the band were, and they have been so accommodating of requests on top of being great musicians. "Excellent jazz band, very classy, perfect for the event in question. It's nice to see a band which does things so simply and professionally, providing a full sound with the minimum of equipment. They were happy to play to the room when people were eating and talking, at a volume which still allowed conversation, but were friendly and engaging as and when people wanted to interact with them. The singer they provide has a great voice, well matched to their style, no over-acting or dramatic self indulgence, just confident strong and pitch perfect. Great day, thank you."

"Well what can I say, this group was absolutely incredible. I couldn’t have wished for a more perfect accompaniment to our afternoon tea on our wedding day. My dad was overwhelmed by the music and everyone commented on how beautiful it sounded. A good mix of classic music and modern music. Absolutely perfect, cannot thank you enough. 9th July 2018"

"Lucinda was very professional . She played beautifully throughout our wedding . She was happy to play music that wasn't in her repertoire. She played with great skill and many of our guests commented on how amazing the music was. "I hired Blue Jewel Ceilidh band to play for my 60th birthday party at my local village hall. I had never heard them play before but going on previous recommendations I felt certain they would be okay. How right I was! Well, if fact they were more than okay - they were bandtastic! Their playing is brilliant and they created a fantastic atmosphere. Steve made sure he brought me and my husband and sons right into the swing of things, mentioning us by name whenever he could and he certainly made it feel like "my" party and not just any old party they might be playing at. There was quite a mix of ages, but everyone joined in with the dancing, (yes, even my non-dancing- unless-he's-had-a-few-pints, husband!!). Steve and his colleague were excellent callers and made the dances very easy and great fun. We are still laughing and talking about what a wonderful evening it was. I have no hesitation in recommending Blue Jewel. They will make your party go with a swing! "

"I'm so impressed with Glo! We had a mini 'festival' for my 40th birthday, with some friends' bands playing, and then Glo as the 'headliner'. They were friendly and professional, and flexible with timings and set lengths (since timings didn't go to plan!). They made great song choices that everyone enjoyed, including some really interesting medleys and smooth transitions between songs. And they are very skilled and sound great! I can't recommend them highly enough :)"
