Review Centre: String Quartets

"We probably made things a little difficult for the Strings in that our guest ages ranged from 6 to 90 and in a vast open area, their sound was difficult to hear unless in the main lawn area, and people were wandering everywhere. Having said that, several guests gave me feedback that was very positive and that they enjoyed the music a lot. Jane and the guys co-operated fully with any requests made, and I got a lot of comments where people recognised tunes but without words made it a challenge to identify the song or artist. I had hoped to get a few people dancing but my attempt failed, guests were very much into conversations with friends and family they had not seen got for considerable time. Overall, the strings were very professional, please pass on my thanks to Jane and her colleagues, just a feeling that we did not do them justice."

"Booking EM Strings was a dream fulfilled as I always wanted a live instrument band playing on my wedding. It was surreal walking in to my favourite song playing from my childhood favourite film that is a classic Bollywood love story. The guest thoroughly enjoyed listening to them during the canapés and it set the tone of the wedding day so perfectly! I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of booking for their special day. The variety of songs that they play means there’s something for everyone to enjoy."

"My husband and I booked the Wigornia String Quartet to play at our wedding ceremony and drinks reception in July and they were absolutely amazing. The music sounded beautiful and really set the tone for the ceremony and day. We were so impressed how they played the songs in time with what we were doing, for example, as I came down the aisle the music became louder and more dramatic, and they finished in perfect time when I got to the end of the aisle. They were very professional, good value for money and I cannot recommend them enough! Thank you so much for making our special day perfect."

"We wanted to write to thank you for the fantastic music that you provided for our wedding ceremony. Your performances were outstanding and everybody mentioned how superb you were. We were extremely impressed by your lengthy repertoire, which allowed us to choose the perfect music not only for our ceremony but also for the drinks outside in the gardens and the Safari Lodge. We really appreciated being able to speak to Laura whenever we needed her. It was a wonderful relief to know that someone was paying attention to every detail. "The musicians (Devon Strings) at our President’s Celebration were simply wonderful. Their varied repertoire was perfectly suited to the occasion, creating the ideal atmosphere throughout the event.
