"I can’t express enough how happy we are that we choose this band. They made my mums surprise 60th birthday party a night to remember! They were extremely professional & listened to our requests prior to the event & excelled our expectations on the night. We gave them a playlist of my mums favourite songs to incorporate in the night & they put their own twist on the songs so they fit perfectly with the party theme. The whole room which was a mixture of ages was up & dancing & they created an amazing atmosphere. They are so versatile and extremely talented that I would definitely use them again for any future event. All the guests raved about them and said what a wonderful night they had. Thanks again Jess, her family & friends x"

"We are so grateful to Black Velvet Ceilidh Trio for making our fundraising ceilidh a great success with delightful music and dancing. The level of challenge of the dances was pitched just right to tempt our guests (who were aged from 4 to 84) to have a go – and they all came away with big smiles on their faces! Phil – the band’s friendly caller – gave just the right amount of instruction and then a quick recap before each dance and was happy to adapt dances to suit some of the children. Arrangements and payment were all handled professionally and efficiently. Thank you so much for helping us raise over £300 for our cause!"

"We hired the Black Velvet Band Ceilidh Trio for my 50th birthday and absolutely loved it. Everyone joined in with the dancing and all the dances were explained really well so it was easy to involve everyone – even the children! It was during the immense heatwave that we had in May but this didn’t stop us or the band from having a lot of fun! Thank you so much for an amazing day. We would definitely hire them again."

"Steve, Geoff and Absolute Band were brilliant to deal with from start to finish. Really friendly people, superb musicians and ensured our dancefloor was busy all night. "Well what can I say! I have recently got married and Absolute played for us at our special day! They were amazing! They were so accommodating…. with a LOT of requests given to them beforehand !! They did not disappoint! They sang a range of all songs… there was something for everyone!! !! Everyone is still talking about how good this band were now!!! The dance floor was packed out all night long! They were great fun and we had the best time! We couldn’t recommend them enough and we thank them for the best day of our lives!!!! "We hired the Captain's Beard last year and they got the whole boatload of us up and on our feet jigging our hearts out. You'll be surprised how many nautical ballads you know the words to once they get into full swing. Why are the Captain's Beard so great? Because they arrrRRRRRR! "
